Publisher Deep Silver and developer Codemasters today revealed a new gameplay trailer for GRID ahead of its Oct. 11 launch on PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One family of devices, including the Xbox One X.

The new trailer tears through corners across a sampling of GRID’s gorgeous streetside race locations, following spoke-to-spoke packs of competitors through the vibrant blocks of Havana, twisting mainway of Barcelona, glistening stretches of rain-slickened night roads, and more.

The first entry into the mainline series in five years, GRID is a triumphant revival of Codemasters’ acclaimed franchise celebrating a range of competitive racing styles and car classes. GRID lets drivers forge their story the way they prefer throughout their career via its dynamic Teammate, Rival and Nemesis systems, through which drivers can hire commandable on-track allies and elevate conflicts with their most despised competitors as they see fit.

Lornsword Winter Chronicle Announced for Consoles

Former Creative Assembly developers at independent studio Tower Five today announced that their story-driven fantasy action-strategy game Lornsword Winter Chronicle is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Fall.

Lornsword Winter Chronicle combines real-time strategy gameplay with an engaging narrative and a direct and action-based control system designed with a gamepad in mind. Players take control of Corun, a young Lornknight placed in command of the small fortified town of Tulza in the southern province of the Lorn Empire. Explore a desolate, harsh world of snow and ice where clashes with rival factions are commonplace in the quest for dominance. In order to build your army and military strength, you’ll have to erect bases, gather food, and earn money to keep your forces adequately stocked.

Battles are fast and frenetic as combatants clash on a dynamic battlefield. Lornsword is a world where blades and bayonets clash with the dark magic of priests and shadow weavers, and where skilled range attacks by arrow or matchlock rifle deal damage from afar.

Drop-in local co-op allows players to bring in a friend to face the onslaught of oppressors. Players can diversify their attack strategy as they mete out battlefield justice up close and personal with their hero or summon their soldiers to attack a specific target in heated clashes.

All of this is supported by a rousing orchestral score by Hungarian composer Thomas-Adam Habuda, whose previous work includes promotional music tracks for 20th Century Fox’s ‘Alita: Battle Angel‘ and more recently Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Endgame‘.

As any good tactician knows, an army marches on its stomach; resources to feed, equip and finance an army can be expanded through exploring the vast landscape and capturing farms and gold mines. A delicate balance is essential to time spent on exploration, resource management and combat.

“We at Tower Five love real-time strategy games, yet the genre has struggled to make the move to consoles, as gamepad controls were ill-equipped for many of the genre classics”, said Renaud Charpentier, Game Director at Tower Five. “That’s why we rethought from the ground up how a strategy game would work. Now you have direct control of your Lornknight, while also having to manage resources and command a larger army. It’s a lot to take in, but having to care for your specific avatar and throngs of units ensures that there’s never a dull moment.”

Coinciding with the console launch, Lornsword Winter Chronicle will come out of Steam Early Access, unleashing the full adventure upon PC players.

Players currently enrolled in the Xbox Insider Program can participate in previewing and providing feedback on the Lornsword Winter Chronicle demo in an initiative which began August 12th.

Developer Rampage Games today announced GENESIS, a brand-new Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) experience optimized for controllers. Players will jump into an epic battle between the gods and mankind across a futuristic world.

Developed for strategy and action enthusiasts, GENESIS is a next-generation console MOBA with its gameplay specifically designed around controllers. The control system brings a breath of fresh air to the genre on consoles, making navigation more intuitive, precise and effective. Additionally, another highlight is the co-op conquest mode, where two local players share control of the same hero!

A very VERY long time ago when I was a kid I had something similar to the PJ Masks Superloop called Race and Chase. There were two cars, one was a Police car and one was a robbers car, we can lots of fun playing with it. Well, my Dad spent hours putting it together and taking it apart after we had played with it, but I like to think he got something out of it too!

Now it’s my turn to spend time putting together the PJ Masks Superloop for my son to play with, and I have to say it really is fun putting it together with him excitedly waiting to play it. He is a huge fan of PJ Masks and he loves playing with car toys so this was a win win for me!

The track comes with about 6 meters worth of components to build up whatever you want, including bridges, chicanes and more.

There is room to race two cars on the track, and this comes with the Gecko Mobile and the Cat Car (yes, I have sat through a lot of PJ Masks). I was surprised, and a little disappointed that it didn’t come with Owlette, but then she has the Owl Glider so it wouldn’t really work on the track.

Racing the cars is a lot of fun, press down the button and the cars speed off. I hadn’t forgotten the tense moments when you didn’t know if the car was going to come speeding off the track at a corner, and those moment are still there. There is even a turbo button to increase the speed, if you dare! The cars headlights even light up making it fun to race in the dark.

The PJ Masks Superloop set from Kids@Play is huge amount of fun and brought back some really great memories for me as a kid, and the fact that my son can now experience something similar with something from one of his favourite TV shows is brilliant. If you have a child who loves PJ Masks and is into cars and racing games, then this is an absolute must have! Get it now and put it away for Christmas – or test it out a little just to make sure it works before you you give it to its new owner.

The first thing that drew me to the PlayStation Alarm Clock was that it look exactly like a PS4 Controller on a stand. Part of the controller has a backlit LED screen which shows the date and time on when connected to power via the USB cable.

Setting the date and time is simple – press and hold the X button and then use the D-Pad to set everything – simple.

To set the alarm you press down on the Circle button and do the same again with the D-Pad to set the alarm. Once set a little bell icon is displayed on the screen.

When the alarm goes off you can choose to turn it off or snooze and get some more sleep – the choice is yours.

The remake of the world-famous cel-shading FPS, which became a cult classic after its original release in 2003, is now set for a release in 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mac.
