I had the honor of being able to put together an impromptu instructional video with Alex Kuretz of MediaSmartServer.net and John “Diehard” Zajdler of the Home Server Show. I am fortunate that Andrew Edney had the 3.0 Upgrade Disks sent to me for my EX485. This article is in three videos (21 minutes total) that show the start to finish 3.0 upgrade on a MSS EX485.

A few days ago we reported that HP had released an update patch on their website for owners of the HP MediaSmart and DataVault Windows Home Servers. That patch is now available to download and install from the Windows Home Server console.

This week at CEBIT ASUS announced the O!Play HD2, which will be the worlds first networked media player with USB 3.0 support.

HP appears to have released an update for the HP MediaSmart servers, including the DataVault.
