A couple of months ago, ASUS introduced the O!Play media device and this week at CEBIT they announced the O!Play HD2, which will be the worlds first networked media player with USB 3.0 support.

Details on the O!Play HD2 are pretty sketchy, but it will have USB 3.0 support, it is HDMI 1.3 compliant, various inputs and outputs and much more. It looks very small and so would easily fit into any existing home theatre set up.

I am a huge fan of media streamers and media players, and I can’t wait to get my hands on this to see just what it can do and just how fast it can go!
