Technical aspects.
The INIU Outdoor Rugged 20k power bank offers some of the best safety features available. It offers an 18-layer SmartProtect safety system. This includes overcharge protection, overheat protection, short-circuit protection, and more. This is reassuring, as your expensive and essential technology will not become damaged while you charge it with this power bank. Furthermore, the power bank will not overheat while you are using it on the move. This makes it the ideal choice when commuting or flying to your holiday.
The 3xUSB ports comprise 2xUSB-C and 1xUSB-A. The 3 ports have a maximum 45W output that is split across the 3 ports. The 2xUSB-C ports offer faster charging for more demanding devices. There is fast charging to keep the power bank charged throughout the day.
The 20,000 mAh battery capacity with 45W maximum output ensures that it sits comfortably within many aviation companies’ strict policies. This is reassuring, as you don’t want your device confiscated before you board your plane.
The 20k battery capacity is suitable for multiple charges of midrange Android and Apple devices. However, flagship models and larger tablets and laptops can be charged once. This may seem restrictive, but I never struggled when using this device.
Build quality.
The INIU Outdoor Rugged 20k power bank is designed with durability in mind. There is a protective silicone cover for each of the ports. It is rated IP67 for impressive water and dust resistance. This is ideal, as water, dust, and grime will not penetrate the device. Although this cannot be used with cables attached, it is ideal when it is placed in your pocket or thrown in your bag.
The tough exterior withstands plenty of knocks and bumps. Furthermore, it has a nice grippy texture that reduces the risk of accidents. The included carabiner is extremely useful, as you can attach the power bank to your bag to charge devices on the move. This tough shell does have a minor downside. Sadly, it is bulkier than its peers, and it weighs slightly more. Consequently, if you want something a lot slimmer, you may wish to look at another INIU product.
Is the INIU Outdoor Rugged 20k power bank worth it?
This is one of the best power banks you can buy. It has incredible safety features and quick charging, and its 45W output rate makes it a market leader. However, it is designed for a niche audience. The rugged case, waterproof elements, and grippy texture are focused on those who love the great outdoors. Accordingly, if you love to be out and about, I recommend buying it here!
