CONFIGURING WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER
So the final stage is configuring Media Center to use the tuners.
Go into TV Setup on your Media Center (if you don’t know where this is, it’s – Tasks, Settings, TV, TV Signal, Set Up TV Signal) and follow the normal steps for configuring your TV Signal until you get the to the TV Signal Detection Result screen.
When you get to this screen screen you want to select No, Let me configure my TV signal manually.
Make sure you select Satellite (regardless of what your signal type is as DVBLink tuners are virtual satellite tuners),
You will then see DVBLink Tuners listed – just click Next to continue.
Here you can just select any Satellite listed here as it doesn’t matter as it is not really using it.
Make sure you select the Universal LNB type here.
You can then see the summary – notice you have a signal 🙂
You can then setup any other signals you want (those that are not part of the DVBLink configuration you have done, if there are any).
And then just click Next through the remaining information screens until you have finished, and just click Finish.
Ok, so we are almost done now.
Go to the Extra menu and you will see DVBLink shown – click on it.
Click on the Synchronise Channels option.
This will add the channels for you and you should see a message similar to this:
The last option is the Recorder Settings one – this allows media center to be set as the default recorder (useful if you have more than one configured on your network).
And that is it – you can now watch channels 🙂
NEXT STEPS
So the next step is to configure other computers on your home network to use those tuners as well – stayed tuned for the next How To…. article.

Interesting…. I install satellite dishes and ethernet equipment for a living and there was a few things that I didn't even know here. I suppose that's the reason that most people hire someone to install their stuff for them eh.
