The lack of wireless technology may disappoint you, but I like gaming without charging my tech. Therefore, this is great if you are lazy like me.

Technical aspects.
The Atlas 200 headset offers a nice and rounded audio profile with Turtle Beach’s famous enhanced sounds. However, this gaming peripheral is surprisingly simple. Despite the massive 50mm Nanoclear drivers, it is a plug-and-play affair. This may disappoint some audiophiles, but I appreciated the basic design.
The plug-and-play option ensures that you are up and running in no time. Yes, you can adjust the settings if you wish, but I didn’t play with this too much. Instead, I allowed the preinstalled sound boosts to do the work. This is the perfect choice if you have younger gamers and you lack technical know-how. Your kids can enjoy excellent sound without having a degree in audio technology.
The lack of battery and wireless tech may be considered a negative. However, I see this as a positive. The low-power draw doesn’t impact your controller battery, and the wired approach ensures that they are compatible with many platforms. This makes these headphones the ideal choice for multiplatform gamers.
Audio quality.
I was pleasantly surprised by the impressive and rounded audio quality of the Atlas 200 headset. The pre-installed sound profiles deliver an amazing option for lovers of high-intensity games. FPS fans will particularly enjoy the pinpoint accuracy, balanced tones, and booming bass. Thankfully, the bass doesn’t overpower each of the other tonal elements.
The microphone is perfect if you love online team games. I tested it with COD and Rocket League, and it worked extremely well. My teammates could hear everything I said, and there were no awkward dropouts or echoed moments. Furthermore, the flip-to-mute mode was great. The microphone instantly cuts out once it is folded away. This ensures that private conversations are not broadcast for the world to hear.
Build quality.
I always worry that entry-level products are built with poor materials. Luckily, this isn’t the case, as the Atlas 200 headset is built to last. It offers some of the best comfort tech available, and your head and ears will appreciate the considerate design.
The floating headband is secure and durable without pushing down on your scalp. Moreover, the earcups are glasses-safe and created from memory foam material. This makes them soft on your temples while reducing heat and pressure. The result is a headset that can be worn for hours during epic gaming sessions.
Is the Atlas 200 headset worth it?
If you want a top-level headset that is all singing and all dancing, the Atlas 200 headset will not hit that mark. However, if you want an impressive entry-level peripheral that is great for kids or technophobes, then this is the item for you. It is durable, comfortable, and offers excellent plug-and-play audio.
