Tenovus Cancer Care has been awarded donation from Vodafone UK

Tenovus Cancer Care has been awarded a £1,000 donation from Vodafone UK. The charity collected the Vodafone Community Connection Award in February after the store team in Caerphilly chose the deserving cause.

Launched in 2014, Vodafone’s Community Connection Awards have already made a difference to more than 170 local communities across the UK. Selected by local Vodafone staff and aimed at supporting local causes with a £1,000 donation, the awards have been used to help fund everything from new equipment for soup kitchens and day centres for the elderly to helping people with disabilities take part in sporting activities.

Tenovus Cancer Care works to prevent, treat and find a cure for cancer – offering practical advice, emotional support and treatment for cancer patients and their loved ones. The £1,000 award will help fund chemotherapy for 25 patients via the charity’s Mobile Support Unit. This will be situated in easily accessible locations such as supermarkets and shopping centres so patients don’t need to travel miles for their appointments.

Ceri Hill, Tenovus Cancer Care Regional Fundraising Manager said, “As the leading cancer charity in Wales, Tenovus Cancer Care has been at the heart of our community for over 75 years – giving people hope and helping them cope. OPPO partners with Swisscom in Europe to bring 5G commercial

OPPO and Swisscom, Switzerland’s leading telecoms and IT provider, today announced their plans to bring the first commercially available 5G device. With the OPPO Reno 5G debuted in Switzerland with Swisscom at an exclusive launch event in Zurich.

The occasion marks the first major milestone in OPPO’s “5G Landing Project,” an initiative to drive collaboration with global network operators to promote the implementation of 5G products and services, empower new use cases for consumers and connect new industries. If you have a PSVR then you already know what it’s like to immerse yourself in the world of VR, but up until now you had to either use headphones or listen to the audio from your TV or sound system. This is where the Mantis comes into play. It’s a detachable set of on-ear headphones that simply clip onto the sides of the PSVR ensuring that you remain fully immersed in whatever world you are visiting.

They are easy to fit and easy to adjust, and just as easy to remove if you don’t won’t them on for any reason.

The sounds quality is good and it really makes you feel like you are there although it’s no match for high quality set of headphones, but then it’s not there to do that or be at that price point. Because of the design of the Mantis, some of the ambient noise is blocked out, meaning you get to hear more of whatever it is you are doing in the game. It’s not perfect but it’s good enough.

The ear cups are very comfortable and can be used for extended periods, although with any VR experience you probably want to have regular breaks!

Like the review of the Shadow service, you don’t need the Shadow Ghost to use the cloud service.

Shadow Ghost contains only the necessary hardware to log you into your Shadow account and connect your favourite accessories (gamepad, keyboard, mouse,etc.).

You just plug your power and HDMI cable and the internet cable or login via WI-FI if you like. The whole device is completely silent when running at all times, its good value for the money but only if you need it.

So for this time, I won’t give it a score because you don’t need it to use the service but it is a beautiful design device.
