This entire process took me 53 minutes from start to finish, and I could have done that a bit sooner. However, I mis-measured the distance between the middle of the door frame and the edge of the door, meaning that the bolt assembly needed to be removed, lengthened and reinstalled. Had I not made that mistake, installation would have taken 41 minutes.

Here are some photos of the installation. As you can see, this touchpad assembly looks right at home on my front door, something that was really important to us. The touchpad is the element installed above the door handle.

You can see how the alarm assembly looks on the inside of the door.

Overall, I am very happy with the look of the system and the installation was very easy.

Overall Evaluation

I was looking to install a touchpad lockset with a motorized bolt on the front door that could be controlled over the internet and using a mobile device. I also wanted a product with top-flight security features, and one that blended in with the décor on the existing door. This lockset ticked all of the features, was easy to install, and was picked up immediately on my Nexia system. Setting lock codes was easy, and control via mobile devices is a breeze. If you are looking for a premium lockset with a motorized deadbolt and Z-Wave/Nexia support, look no further than this one.

I give the Schlage BE469NXCAM716 Camelot Touchscreen Deadbolt with Nexia Home Intelligence and Alarm, Aged Bronze (Z-Wave) a 5/5 Gold Award.
