I’ve been eagerly waiting for the arrival of the OJAI Visual Recovery System from GUNNAR. If you follow my reviews, you know I have a little love affair with this amazing company. I’ve been using their blue light glasses for years, and my eyes are extremely grateful. However, this latest tool takes this company into the health and beauty market.

It focuses on reducing fatigue and wear and tear that you’ve accumulated during the day. With a gentle heat pad, light massaging pressure, and blackout material, you’ll feel like a million dollars.

With an array of settings, you’ll find the one that is appropriate for you. The eye mask combines heat, vibration, and pressure for the perfect way to unwind after a tough day. Offering around 43°C heat, this gently soothes your forehead and temples.
The vibration and air compression massage squeezes and stretches your skin for that ideal non-intrusive facial therapy. You’ll feel pressure and tension fade away as you select the right setting for your needs. When combined with the white noise or your choice of music, you’ll enjoy a meditative state.

Build quality.
GUNNAR make some of the best, if not the best, eyewear available. The OJAI Visual Recovery System is no different, as the headband, material, design, and buttons are all incredible. The adjustable headband can be moved with ease, and this makes it ideal if you want to share it with a partner. In my case, my kids were obsessed with giving it a try, but that’s a me issue. I’m pleased to say that the headband fits everyone’s heads, and the strong, elastic material is durable and simple to handle.
Easy-to-clean and maintain eyewear is a must if it is to be used by multi people. Thankfully, this eye mask can be cleaned with little effort. The internal blackout material has a soft leatherette feel. This feels amazing when placed next to your skin and can be cleaned with ease. The mesh front panel is durable and looks great. There is a hinged point to fold the mask over, and this is strong while resisting wear and tear.
The handy soft carry case has the GUNNAR logo and is a nice addition to the eye mask. It is large enough to safely house the product, and it doesn’t have that awful baggy appearance. Instead, it is snug and won’t look out of place when positioned on your desk or on your shelf.
The button placement takes a little getting used to, but once you use the OJAI Visual Recovery System a few times, you’ll become a dab hand. Each button has a rubberised finish, and this prevents your hands from slipping. This adds to the chilled and relaxed nature of this health and beauty product.
