Here is our review of the Fanttik T1 Max Soldering Iron Kit.

Take the hassle out of precision repairs with the Fanttik T1 Max Soldering Iron Kit, designed for makers, hobbyists and anyone who wants to fix things without being tied to a workbench. Enjoy fast 7-second heating and reheating with four C210 precision tips, built for a long service life and resistance to oxidation.
Stay in control with six temperature levels from 200°C to 450°C, all selected with a simple knob on the end of the iron. Intelligent Gravity Sensing puts the iron to sleep when it has been left still for 15 seconds and heats it straight back up the moment you pick it up again.
With a built-in 2600mAh battery giving up to 60 minutes of cordless use at 450°C and a wired mode that boosts the output to 16W from any USB Type-C charger or power bank, the T1 Max goes wherever the job is. Keep your workspace tidy with the aluminium swivel stand, which features a pop-up compartment for storing tips and doubles as a stylish display piece for your desk.

Final Thoughts
The T1 Max is compact and lightweight, measuring around 18cm long, and feels very comfortable in the hand even when you are working on fiddly jobs for extended periods of time.
When fully charged, the built-in 2600mAh battery gives you up to 60 minutes of cordless use, even at the maximum 450°C. That might not sound like a lot, but the iron only really draws power when you are actually using it (more on that below). Don’t worry, if the battery runs out you can plug in a USB Type-C cable and carry on – and in wired mode the output actually goes up from 11W to 16W.
Getting started is really simple and quick. Pop in your preferred tip, turn the knob at the back to choose one of the six temperature levels and you are good to go. Heating can take as little as 7 seconds and the indicator light makes it obvious when you are ready – it flashes red while heating and turns solid green once it reaches temperature.
The Intelligent Gravity Sensing is a really clever touch. Put the iron down and leave it still for 15 seconds and it drops into sleep mode, then as soon as you pick it back up it heats up again to your chosen temperature. It saves battery and it also means you are not leaving a hot iron sitting around if you get distracted.
The temperature range runs from 200°C to 450°C and Fanttik suggests around 300°C for SMD components, 350°C for plug-in components and flying wires and 400°C for removing components – handy if you are new to soldering and are not sure where to start.
The aluminium stand is very sturdy and swivels round, and there is a pop-up compartment where you can keep the spare tips so they don’t go missing. It also looks great sitting on a desk, which is not something you can say about most soldering irons.
You also get a desoldering pump, tweezers and plenty of sponges, so pretty much everything you need to get going is included in the box. It is worth remembering that the T1 Max is designed for precision work – circuit boards, wires, connectors and models – rather than heavy-duty jobs, but for that kind of work it is definitely worth a look.
The Fanttik T1 Max Soldering Iron Kit is available now priced around £79.99 and comes with free UK delivery and a 6-month warranty.
