Today LG has announced the LG G3 Beat, the new smaller version of its flagship device is still fairly big, with a 5-inch 720p display.
Specifications include a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 chip, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. MicroSD support and Android 4.4 KitKat are also included.
The camera is a step down from the unit in the flagship G3, with 8-megapixels of resolution to play with. However, there is the laser auto-focus found on the more expensive G3.
The size is 137.7 x 69.6 x 10.3mm, which may not be compact enough for some, although the battery – at 2540 mAh – is better than the competition.
The phone will be going on sale on 18th July in South Korea and will be hitting Europe in the weeks after. No price just yet.
