Here are some screen shots for the upcoming Crown of the Sunken King, the first of a series of episodic adventures for Dark Souls II.
Entitled the Lost Crown Trilogy a series of three DLC packs for Dark Souls 2 is on the way. The first, Crown of the Sunken King arrives on July 22nd with Crown of the Old Iron King coming on 26th August and Crown of the Ivory King on 24th September.
In The Crown of the Sunken King the players are sent on a quest to reclaim the Crown that King Vendrick once owned. With entirely new areas to explore within the Dark Souls II universe, players will find pyramids, underground caverns, and unknown foes. It is said that the Ancient Crown is buried deep below the surface, but surely it cannot sit unguarded.
Key info to get started with the “Crown of the Sunken King”:
· King’s Memory zone & the DLC zone are two separated things, players can visit each area without going to the other
· Warp points to the DLC map & King’s Memory:
– DLC: Install the DLC Unlock Key which gives the “Dragon Talon” item. On the “Black Gulch” area, there is a room with the “Primal Bonfire”, a warp point looking like a snake will be enabled (This is roughly around 30% of the original DSII game)
– King’s Memory: The player must have the “Ashen Mist Heart” item and go to the King’s Room in the “Undead Crypt” area to activate the warp zone (This is roughly around 60% of the original DSII game)
