The GX1 Headset from Epomaker is designed with gaming and music at the forefront. It is a comfortable, over-ear headset with a detachable microphone. Accordingly, you can use it to chat to your mates or listen to music on the move. The tri-mode connectivity enhances this inclusive approach. Bluetooth, wired, and wireless 2.4 GHz tech ensure you have the best and most secure connection.

This headset offers incredible 7.1 surround sound via its 50mm drivers. The result is tight and accurate noises that enhances immersion. On top of this, it has ENC noise cancellation for the best microphone pickup. Consequently, you won’t be that friend who ruins the party with their awful microphone.

What’s in the box of the GX1 Headset?

  • The packaging is interesting, durable, and recyclable.
  • The GX1 Headset feels and looks great. It has a soft-to-the-touch material, a classic colourway, and striking RGB.
  • A detachable microphone is provided.
  • Connect and charge the headset with the USB-C cable.
  • Learn the basics with the user manual.

Technical aspects.

Technically, the GX1 Headset is a high-end prospect at an entry-level price. A jaw-dropping 70-hour battery life and fast charging keep you in the game for longer. The Bluetooth connectivity offers low power draw to enhance battery life. This is great if you love to play video games on the move. Alternatively, maybe you want to use these headphones for music and films. Either way, you will not run out of juice.

The 50mm drivers and 7.1 surround sound make this headset the perfect option for lovers of FPS games. The pinpoint accuracy gives you an unfair advantage as you zone in on every footstep and the location of that sneaky sniper. Alongside this, the detachable microphone delivers impressive voice pickup. No more echoed chat and bitty comms. Instead, you enjoy crystal-clear communication with your teammates.

The tri-mode connectivity is fantastic. I focused on the wired connection as I enjoy the low latency and the lack of battery. However, the next-gen 2.4 GHz tech delivers flawless real-time audio sync for incredible accuracy. The range of connection options ensures this headset connects to a wide range of gaming platforms. Furthermore, you can instantly switch between gaming, phone calls, and streaming with ease.

Audio quality.

The layers of impressive technology result in an amazing soundscape. The 7.1 surround sound is unbelievably accurate, and this makes it the ideal choice if you love fast-paced gaming or immersive action-adventure games. Whether it is the slash of a sword or a bullet from a gun, the GX1 Headset enhances every moment.

The range of tones is clean, easy to identify, and nicely rounded. I identified every key layer, and I never failed to pick out the high, mid, and low points. Moreover, the bass is balanced and powerful. The result is an amazing audio experience that brings every game to life.

Build quality.

If a headset is available for under £50, I expect corners to be cut. Thankfully, this isn’t the case as the GX1 Headset delivers top-end audio, amazing battery life, and a sneaky layer of RGB. I therefore expected the build quality to be lacking. Subsequently, I was pleasantly surprised by the premium finish. The earcups are large, cool, and amazing during marathon sessions. Furthermore, the headband is padded, lightweight, and amazing to wear for hours.

A detachable microphone isn’t always a great idea, but this one is well built. It is easy to remove and install the microphone to create a streamlined finish. There are tactile buttons that are conveniently placed, and this makes it a user-friendly option. Finally, the cables are durable and connecting it to your phone or PC/Xbox was easy and secure.

Is the GX1 Headset worth it?

If you want a great headset without breaking the bank, the GX1 Headset could be the one for you. It offers high-end audio and extreme comfort. Moreover, it is ideal if you love to game or watch films on the move. I love the tri-mode connectivity and the versatility. Accordingly, it is great, and I recommend buying it here!
