When using the drive as the primary Windows operating system drive, the Windows Performance Index rating shows as a very high 7.1!
Here are the specifics for the drive:
USB 2.0 Connected
When connected in the enclosure via USB 2.0, the average Read is 33.3 MB/s.
The average Write is 29.4 MB/s.

So about average really for USB 2.0.
SATA II 3.0 GB/s Connected
When connected to a SATA II 3.0 GB/s motherboard, the average Read shoots up to 219.3 MB/s.
And the Write goes up to 189.2 MB/s.

So a very good speed. In fact, Kingston claim a write speed of 180 MB/s and I saw a speed of 189 MB/s, so even better than claimed!
