Check the settings and click on Next.

Read the license agreement and then click on next.

The installation will automatically create a 128MB MSR partition on the drive. Leave this partition ALONE!
Install on the large partition. It will show all of the space available.
If it does not install, or you get an error that says the controller is incorrect, then start over and change the BIOS settings to Legacy and IDE.

Windows will give you a message saying the partitions are in the wrong order. Not sure why it does this, but click on OK anyway.

I also installed Windows 7 with UEFI over itself during my multiple testing sessions. You can see below that Windows 7 created the 100MB System Reserved partition automatically. The screen below is from another repeat installation. You can use the upgrade disks or regular Windows 7 DVD disks to install a UEFI OS.

Yeah, I must have done the UEFI install about 10 times for practice and for screenshots. Seriously.
Windows will finish the installation and load Windows 7 in UEFI. Leave the DVD in the drive until the very end. The system usually restarts four times.

I managed to install UEFI Windows 7 on my Intel DG41WV Motherboard by following the steps above, the only difference was that i managed to install it with an internal SATA DVD drive.
I popped the disc into the drive, rebooted the PC and at the boot menu it showed me
internal uefi shell : (name of my DVD drive).
It seems that the BIOS scanned the disc for the efi file. When the disc was not inside, there was no such option. Just a tip to those who don’t have a spare external usb dvd drive around.
Thanks for this tutorial, I manage to install the Windows 7 Prof as downgrade of Windows 8. Only the BIOS settings have to be change in order to boot to a UEFI Downgrade of Windows 7.
