INSTALLING THE SONOS SOFTWARE

Installing the software onto my computer was the next thing to do, and was just a case of putting in the CD and following the onscreen instructions.

Here are the screenshots for those of you who like to follow them:

After the software was installed it was just a case of connecting my computer to either a ZonePlayer or a Zonebridge. I chose the ZonePlayer 120 (because it was sitting on my desk next to me) and I pressed the buttons as instructed and waiting a few moments while the connections were made.

It is very important that you register your Sonos system otherwise you wont be able to get updates – and in my case, there were updates. Registration is very simple and only took a few moments.

Once the registration was completed the software informed me that I was running an older version of the software, so I figured I should update it. The whole process was very simple and just required a couple of clicks of the mouse.

  1. I can imagine the reluctance to box it up and send it back. I've had Sonos in my house for ~3 years. It's dead easy to use. One of my prime considerations was ease of use for my wife.
