Square Enix has announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider, which is currently a timed-exclusive for the Xbox One and Xbox 360, will be released on PC in early 2016 while PlayStation 4 owners will have to wait an entire year to get their version in holiday 2016.
Since it was first announced, Microsoft has been touting Rise of the Tomb Raider as a timed-exclusive, although we didn’t know just how long the exclusivity would last for.
Now we know it’ll last for at least for a few months on PC and a year for PS4, leaving fans of the 2013’s Tomb Raider having to sit around for much longer than they would like to get their hands on the game on their platform of choice.
While the exclusivity isn’t so bad for PC owners, who may need to be on Windows 10 in order to play, PlayStation 4 owners are certainly feeling the sting of timed-exclusive content.

Today ArenaNet has revealed the tempest, the elite specialisation for the elementalist profession debuting in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns.
The tempest enables players to harness the elements with a myriad of new skills and a new weapon to utilize – the warhorn. ArenaNet Game Designer Karl McLain examines the strength and versatility of this new elite specialization, including how it came into being during the development of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, in a new blog on the official Guild Wars 2 website (https://www.guildwars2.com/en-gb/news/meet-the-tempest).
Tempest is a close-range specialization capable of blasting out damage, healing and support abilities, including ‘Eye of the Storm’ which allows players to call down a storm on their characters and allies. Eye of the Storm breaks stun on anyone affected in a short radius and grants them super speed for a short time; there’s also ‘Aftershock’, an ability which cripples nearby enemies with earthen force. The tempest also possesses the Overload ability which allows players to call in the forces of either fire, water, air and earth to benefit the player and their allies, depending on their attunement. More details about these skills and how players can use the warhorn weapon can be found in the official developer blog.
ArenaNet will reveal the first in-game look at the tempest’s abilities when McLain joins host Rubi Bayer on Points of Interest airing on tomorrow (Friday 24th July) at 9pm CEST (8pm BST) via the official Guild Wars 2Twitch channel.

WD have released a portable hard drive designed to expand the storage on your Xbox One, Xbox 360 or PC called the My Passport X – and here is our review.
My Passport X gaming storage expands your Xbox One, Xbox 360 or PC gaming experience. Connect this portable and powerful drive to immediately add storage capacity to your system. Built around a high-quality WD drive, the My Passport X gaming storage is performance-tweaked to meet the desires of serious gamers.
What’s in the Box?
The box contains the drive, a USB cable and a manual.
A Closer Look
Final Thoughts
The first thing that you notice when you take it out of the box is that the My Passport X looks a lot like the Xbox One – it has the same texture as the Xbox One and it looks great sitting next to or on the Xbox One.
Setting up the My Passport X was simply a case of plugging it in to a spare USB on the Xbox One and following the instructions. You can then move some of your existing content onto the drive – and that’s it!
If you want to use it on an Xbox 360, you need to connect it and then format it in the System Settings, Storage Devices section.
The drive has 2TB of storage on it – WD say that’s about 50 games over around 36 GB each on an Xbox One and 250 games of around 7 GB each – so that’s a good addition to your existing storage pool.
There’s not really a lot else to add to be honest, the My Passport X works straight out of the box, and you can be using it in minutes, and it blends right in with your Xbox One, so what’s not to love. Add one today!
The WD My Passport X retails for £97.99, but as usual look for the best deal.
