The GT5 Gaming Desk is a monstrous beast! Moreover, the carbon fibre-wrapped desktop is stunning to look at. Thanks to the sleek design and ample workspace, this is a gamer’s dream. However, be aware that you need a large room to make it work. Consequently, if you have a micro-gaming space, this won’t be the desk for you. Yet, if you have a decent (wo)man cave, then this could be the icing on the cake.

This exceptional desk from FlexiSpot is a real head-turner. Additionally, it has some exceptional features that are designed with gamers in mind. As such, if you purchase this item, you’ll have the ideal set-up for marathon gaming sessions.

What’s in the box of the GT5 Gaming Desk?

  • This piece of furniture is delivered in 3 boxes. Thankfully, they are mostly recyclable and are sturdy. Consequently, the contents are well-packaged. Word of warning though, 2 of the 3 boxes are extremely heavy and require 2 people to lift them.
  • The GT5 Gaming Desk is eye-catching. The carbon fibre finish and sleek black legs are a thing of beauty. Moreover, once constructed, it is as solid as a rock and can move the heftiest of gaming rigs.
  • You are provided with screws and an Allen key to tighten the bolts. Yet, you’ll need a screwdriver to complete the job.
  • 2 user manuals cover every aspect of the building element.

Constructing the desk.

Though this has to be the heaviest desk I’ve reviewed, it was easy to construct. Thanks to the straightforward instructions and the well-labelled screws, you can’t go wrong. However, I suggest a reasonable-sized room to ensure that you have enough space. What’s more, it doesn’t hurt to remove all unnecessary packaging to ensure that things go smoothly.

The desktop comes with pre-drilled holes to make things easier. Yet, you may need to create your own holes to mount the headphones and drinks holder. As such, a small drill is essential to prevent the desktop from becoming damaged.

I built this as a solo project in around 20 minutes. But had there been a second pair of hands, it would have been much easier. This theory also applies when you are required to flip the desk and move it into place. My advice is to ask for help to ensure you don’t get an injury.

Technical aspects.

The GT5 Gaming Desk is no ordinary piece of furniture. This incredible desk utilises FlexiSpot’s amazing standing desk technology. Accordingly, you can adjust the height from 58 cm to 123 cm. This range was impressive as it allows children and adults to share one workspace. What’s more, if you are sitting for extended periods, it can cause back and hip pain. Consequently, this problem is removed at the push of a button.

Alongside this, your safety is a priority. Subsequently, anti-collision technology has been incorporated into the hefty motors. As such, if a pet or child places their snout or limbs near the moving parts, the desk will stop. Additionally, it’ll raise slightly to release any trapped item. This is essential if you have youngsters running around. However, if you don’t wish to use this feature, it can be deactivated using the intuitive control panel.

The control panel and gaming accessories.

The control panel was straightforward to use. The tactile buttons enable you to alter the height of the desk with ease. Moreover, you can store 4 heights in the memory of the device. As such, you needn’t worry about getting the right height each time you use your desk. Alongside this, there is a handy USB-A port to charge your mobile phone, tablet, or to power any compatible device.

On top of the excellent panel, you have some amazing gaming accessories to use. FlexiSpot has provided a cupholder, cable management tray, and a headphone holder to keep your workspace tidy. These simple-to-install extras make this desk stand out from its peers. Furthermore, it keeps your desktop streamlined and this enhances the aesthetics further.

Build quality.

Creating such a striking desk is always a gamble. However, the exceptional build quality of the GT5 Gaming Desk shines through. The hefty weight impressed me from the off. Furthermore, the powder-coated black legs and near-silent motors were amazing. On top of this, the desk can lift over 100 kg including the weight of the desktop. As such, you can load up your workspace without concern.

Alongside this, every element of the desk is impressive. Though the gaming accessories are made of plastic, they were strong and sturdy and matched the colour theme. Moreover, the excellent cable management system ensures that there are no trip hazards and that your workspace looks tidy. What’s more, the carbon fibre wrap is easy to maintain and is resistant to scratches and water. As such, it’ll look fantastic no matter what you throw at it.

Habitats Above and Below from Hey Doodle is a charming storybook. This foldable silicone book allows your children to colour and doodle to their heart’s content. Furthermore, the detailed animals will educate them as they learn about different creatures from unique biomes.

Depending on which story you pick, the book tells a captivating tale or develops an interesting theme. In this case, Habitats Above and Below highlights a range of animals that live in different areas of the globe. Accordingly, your kids will adore the ability to colour familiar weird and wonderful beasts.

What’s in the box of Habitats Above and Below?

  • The box is simply adorable. If you think of a classic Peter Rabbit tale, it has the same appearance and energy. Furthermore, it can be recycled if you wish.
  • The Habitats Above and Below book is great to look at. The silicone material is strong, and the monochromatic finish is striking.

Technical aspects.

Kids and colouring go hand-in-hand. However, it is almost impossible to keep up with their demands. As such, you blast through sheets of plain paper and colouring books like crazy. Thankfully, the Habitats Above and Below book mixes things up. Thanks to its wipeaway surface, you can colour in each image repeatedly. What’s more, any mistakes can be erased with ease.

This reusable approach will impress your children and your bank account. Not only can they enjoy making every animal an array of colours, but they will learn about each habitat without knowing about it. The interesting biomes are accurate and attractive. Consequently, this is a brilliant educational tool as well.

Usability.

Colouring within the lines is never easy. Yet, Habitats Above and Below makes it a piece of cake. Thanks to the clean monochromatic colour palette, it is easy for youngsters to follow the pattern. Moreover, minor errors aren’t a problem thanks to the easy-to-clean surface. As such, this is the perfect product to let your kid’s imagination run free.

Build quality.

Everything about this item is exceptional! The box is attractive, cute, and alluring. Moreover, the book is easy to handle, clean, and has great imagery. On top of this, the pens are vibrant, and the nibs take a little roughhousing. Accordingly, they will withstand normal toddler attention.

The silicone material also doesn’t leave unfortunate marks when you clean it. Instead, a simple damp cloth will remove any unwanted marks. Subsequently, the book is ready to be doodled on again without concern.

The BTH19 headphones from iClever are fantastic for your children. These vibrant, safe, and interesting headphones deliver pleasant audio whilst being comfortable to wear. Moreover, they have a handy travel pouch to protect them in transit.

On top of this, iClever has the safety of your hearing at the fore. This device has three preset decibel levels to protect young ears. As such, as a parent, you are assured that your children cannot damage their hearing. This was great as they could enjoy their games whilst blocking environmental sounds.

Technical aspects. 

Kids’ headphones aren’t usually technically advanced. Their inexpensive price point and non-fuss user base rarely care for exceptional features. However, iClever breaks the mould. The BTH19 headphones deliver great sound, exceptional battery life, and a secure connection. 

Thanks to the 40mm drivers, the audio has a pleasant range of tones. Additionally, a hearty bass line works well with the pre-set decibel levels. You can pick from up to 74 dB/85 dB/94 dB. This was great as the headphones block out noises in loud environments. As such, you needn’t crank up the volume to hear your favourite content.

Alongside this, the 5.2 Bluetooth feature creates a secure connection with minimum power draw. Consequently, this helps these headphones push an impressive 45 hours of playtime. However, if you do run out of juice, simply use the 3.5mm audio cable with any compatible device.

Build quality. 

The audio was great, but the build quality was better still! Everything about this headset impressed me. Moreover, my kids were blown away by the cat style, the colours, the details, and the exceptional RGB. Whenever you switch these on, they light up like a beacon. Accordingly, they look fantastic, and you won’t forget to switch them off.

On top of this, the plush earcup material is breathable and pleasant for extended periods. Additionally, if you wear glasses, there is minimal pressure on your temples. As such, it reduces the risk of headaches.

Another fine feature is the easy-to-adjust headband. If you pull or push each side, you can change the length of the headset. Moreover, the robust hinges can be folded to stow the BTH19 headphones in their travel bag. Subsequently, this will fit different head sizes and is suitable if you are out and about.

Review: Power Wash Simulator Back to the Future DLC

Back to the Future DLC for PowerWash Simulator adds 5 levels of content. These colourful and zany stages will appease fans of both franchises. Moreover, the action can be enjoyed alone or with others online.

This cleaning simulation add-on was developed by Futurlab Limited and published by Square Enix. Furthermore, it utilises every fantastic mechanic from the base game. Consequently, if you adore this series, you will jump right in with little guidance. However, if you are new to the game, you have little to worry about, as everything is well explained.

Can you clean the Delorean?

Back to the Future DLC is nostalgic. 

I’m old enough to remember the original film release. Accordingly, the Back to the Future DLC is a nostalgic treat. Each of the 5 levels and the crazy text narration captures the essence of the film. As such, it is tough to put down.

Though there is no plot, you will enjoy everything you see, nevertheless. You must clean Doc Brown’s van, the time machine, the Holomax theatre, Hill Valley Clocktower, and Doc’s time train. Each of these stages is deceptively complex. Subsequently, cleaning every ounce of dirt is no mean feat.

On top of this, it can be a challenge to identify each weirdly labelled part. Consequently, you must pay attention and work slowly if you wish to complete this add-on. 

This level takes time to complete.
So much to clean!

Back to the Future DLC looks great. 

PowerWash Simulator has always impressed me. The clean imagery and colourful backdrops are great to look at. Thankfully, Back to the Future DLC is no different! Each of the enormous structures has immense detail. Additionally, some of the stages have Easter Eggs to discover. This was fantastic, as it added some crazy moments to the OCD action.

The audio, however, drove me to distraction. The constant whoosh of water was torturous. Sadly, unless you turn the sound off, you have to put up with it. Though this annoyed me, the sound effects were accurate and realistic. Accordingly, I begrudgingly applaud the developers. 

Clean that train.
Choo choo.

Excellent controls. 

Thanks to the masterful tutorial and incredible button layout, Back to the Future DLC has excellent controls. Moreover, a controller template is shown at the start of each stage. Subsequently, you can refresh your memory if needed. 

5 levels may not seem a lot. However, it took me around 5-6 hours to complete this alone. On top of this, you can enjoy it with friends and this enhances replay value and longevity. 

The Back to the Future DLC made me smile. 

Every element of this DLC works wonderfully. The OCD nature of the gameplay is captivating and the colourful theme is alluring. Moreover, the complexity of each structure is spectacularly frustrating. My only concern, however, is the audio. Yet, that’s a personal issue that won’t impact many of you. Accordingly, this is a great add-on and I recommend that you buy it here! Don’t let dirt and grime stop you from getting back to the future.

Review: Streamplify Acoustic Panels

One problem content creators and streamers often face is audio quality. Specifically, echo. This is a problem caused by sound waves bouncing off the surface of a plain wall. While there are a lot of acoustic panel options out there, most are ugly or don’t work that well. The Streamplify Acoustic Panels solve both problems.

Overview

Coming in packs of 6 or 9 panels, the design is a simple grey rectangle with grooves at different widths. In its most basic form these are well designed and look clean. The added benefit of the grooves is that you can cut the panels down if you need to and make interesting patterns using individual strips. This gives you flexibility in how they will look on your wall and enables you to make it more aesthetically pleasing than some panels out there.

The panels are well-built and feel and look premium, and the grooves provide a nice design and functionality, like cutting them down to fit in the space needed to be filled. I also noticed a good improvement in the quality of my audio as the echo was reduced.

I chose to fix my panels to the wall, unfortunately, this is where I faced an issue. The provided tape failed to adhere the panels to the wall, and they did fall down. I easily rectified this, however, with a better adhesive, but I cannot say if others will experience the same issue, and I certainly haven’t seen anything online about it.

What sets these panels apart from others is the desk mounting system they come with. This is perfect for those needing a home recording booth on a budget. It’s also a great option for people in rented accommodation who aren’t allowed to start affixing things to the walls. This is a fantastic inclusion offering versatility in the Streamplify Acoustic Panels.

Overall, the Streamplify Acoustic Panels are a fantastic option for content creators looking to reduce the echo and sound distortion that comes from blank walls. Review: Streamplify CAM

I’ve used a lot of cameras in my time, from cheap integrated laptop cameras to high-end DSLRs. So, I was interested to see how the Streamplify CAM would hold up. For its price, this is a fantastic camera for streaming, taking video calls and recording content. With a built-in privacy mechanism and a simple design, this might be the perfect entry webcam for people getting into content creation.

Overview

The Streamplify CAM is a plug-and-play webcam that doesn’t require any drivers or software. Using a USB 2.0 connector, it can work with most devices and is compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Chrome OS.

This makes it incredibly easy to use, and while it would be nice to have software to make refinements to the image, at this price point, I understand why this isn’t an option. The camera features full HD 1080p with a 2.0M pixel lens. One of the most impressive aspects of this camera is that it captures at 60 FPS. There’s a widescreen view of 90° with 45° up-down adjustment and 360° swivel. The Streamplify CAM also has autofocus, automatic light adjustment and an inbuilt microphone. 

A nice addition to the kit is the included tripod. While the camera has a traditional webcam arm to fit nicely on top of a monitor, it also comes with a mini tripod in the box, giving the camera a much more versatile use. It has a standing height of 14.5cm to 21cm and features anti-shock rubber feet to help minimise vibrations if knocked. With a 2m cable, you’ll get plenty of flexibility in positioning the camera.

How good is the Streamplify CAM?

The build quality is excellent, feeling sturdy in the hand and when swivelling the camera to different angles. The tilt and full 360 degrees provides great adjustments to make sure you get the perfect shot. You also get a small tripod, which, while isn’t perfect does give you extra positioning options. The ¼ inch thread on the webcam does, however, make it compatible with most accessories.

The quality of the image is great in most lighting conditions with nice and clear images and will also capture sharp stills. While the colours aren’t as good as some premium webcams, for the price point it is more than adequate.

The auto adjustments work well, particularly compensating for low light conditions, although sometimes this can make images look underexposed.

When it comes to microphones, the Streamplify CAM does come with dual onboard microphones, that do offer good pickup but won’t replace a proper USB or XLR microphone for content creation.

Overall, however, the Streamplify CAM is a fantastic content creation camera for those just starting out and have a tight budget or for those who need a decent secondary camera.

Final thoughts on the Streamplify CAM

Overall, the Streamplify CAM is an incredible piece of kit for the price point. With 1080p/60 FPS capture, autofocus and lighting, this camera easily rivals webcams of a similar, or even slightly higher, price point. The robust build quality, flexibility of positioning and extra long cable length all add to the quality-of-life features Streamplify have baked into this device. Adding to that, the inclusion of a privacy cover, the Streamplify CAM is a great choice for new content creators. While software would have been a nice addition, with this device, you can plug it in and get creating straight away.

Review: Streamplify USB Microphone with Tripod

If you’re thinking about starting that podcast, grabbing a game to stream, or even just want to sound better on a Zoom call, then the Streamplify USB Microphone may just be for you.

Designed with entry-level creators in mind, or those who are budget-conscious, Streamplify has created a great microphone with a few limitations that mean it may not be suitable for everyone. With two options available – a tripod version or one that comes with a desk-mounted arm, it’s hard not to be impressed with what this little microphone can do.

Setting up the microphone

Unboxing and setting up the Streamplify Microphone was exceptionally easy. Everything is well protected in the box, fitting neatly into precision-cut foam inserts. the kit requires no tools to assemble and fits very neatly together. I was impressed with the quality of the materials used, and how premium all the pieces feel for such a low cost. The tripod is robust and will hold at a variety of heights, so you don’t need to worry about it slipping or falling over, and the shock mount does a great job of absorbing the impact from those accidental desk bumps. Due to the design, the pop filter fits tightly to the microphone and cannot come loose or rotate out of alignment.

Setting up is as easy as plugging it in to either a USB A or C port on your computer or console (The microphone is compatible with Windows, MacOS and console). The fact that both types of cable are offered in the box is a great touch, offering connectivity versatility. This plug-and-play microphone makes it incredibly easy for anyone to get started creating.

The microphone is compatible with a range of software, too, and worked perfectly for me, whether on a Zoom call, recording audio in Audacity or using it to film a gameplay video in OBS.

Features

This is a no-nonsense budget microphone, but that’s not to say it is without some useful features. The Streamplify USB Microphone has two playback modes. They call these Full Playback Podcast Mode and One-Way Playback Gaming Mode, which allows you to either play your audio back for some fine tuning or not, so you don’t hear your playback when you’re streaming.

While the microphone is missing gain controls, it does have a volume button, which doubles as the mute button and a light button for the RGB ring. The RGB can cycle or be set to one of several fixed colours and offers good brightness and a little flair to the otherwise sleek, black microphone. It’s also used to indicate useful information – such as being on mute.

How good is it?

This microphone is a condenser microphone, which is standard with USB mics. With the Streamplify USB Microphone, you’re limited to the Cardioid pattern, which means you must be directly in front of the mic for it to pick up any sound. while this is great for people who talk into the microphone for their content creation – like podcasters, it won’t be able to capture that environmental noise, which may not suit everyone. Musicians, for example, shouldn’t be looking at this microphone to record with. It is also worth noting that this microphone doesn’t have stereo recording either. What this has meant, however, is that Streamplify has managed to keep the cost down.

In terms of recording quality, I was astonished by how good it was. This is good because bear in mind that the device has no supporting software or real controls to allow for much refinement. Out-of-the-box recording was crisp and clear and not too much background noise was picked up. I didn’t really hear my fans. The pop filter also worked well to deal with those plosives, and I appreciate this being included in the box.

Final thoughts on the Streamplify USB Microphone

For a budget microphone, for an entry-level microphone for new creators, this is hard to beat. I was really impressed with the overall build quality, the quality of the sound capture and how well the pop filter works. It’s a no-frills, no-nonsense microphone perfect for budding podcasters or content creators who do a lot of talking. While I wouldn’t recommend it for musicians due to the fixed Cardioid pick-up pattern, it’s an easy recommendation for everyone else. With a clean and simple aesthetic paired with some RGB flair, it’s hard not to be impressed. The only thing it’s missing is software to allow for tweaking, but at this price point, I’m happy to deal with that in post-production.

The Yoto Player 3rd Generation is an incredible audio device for your children. If they are aged 3 to 12 years, then this will pique their interest. Moreover, it wonderfully introduces them to a range of books, podcasts, and a family-friendly radio station. Additionally, there is loads of free audio to download and activities to complete.

Alongside this, it is straightforward to use and hard-wearing, and I loved its pixel art display. What’s more, each of my kids could use it with limited guidance as the cards are easy to handle. Accordingly, this is the perfect device if you want to surprise your munchkins this Christmas.

The Yoto Player 3rd Generation’s biggest rival is the Toniebox. This interesting product utilises vibrant figurines to interest its fanbase. However, I think the Yoto team has delivered a more attractive and robust set-up. Furthermore, the ability to obtain free stories and other products daily is a real winner!

Additional items.

The Yoto team kindly provided me with some extras to complete the package. Consequently, if you want the best Yoto experience, I recommend adding these items to your basket. The wireless docking station lets you charge the device permanently. Thankfully, it has a safety cut-off to prevent your player from overcharging. Additionally, it is perfectly safe to use around youngsters. Yet, I’d still recommend younger children are supervised if you go for this option.

The Adventure Jacket protects your player whilst out and about. As such, if you are camping or undertaking a long car journey, this will help to prevent damage. Additionally, there are loads of fantastic cards to choose from. I was given a mind-blowing variety of stories to interest a 5, 7, and 9-year-old. As such, there is plenty to appease your youngsters. Finally, I have a safe place to store the cards thanks to the helpful carry case.

Technical aspects.

The Yoto Player 3rd Generation delivers impressive stereo sound. Accordingly, every story, podcast, and radio moment sounded incredible. What’s more, the audio volume wasn’t too loud and it can be capped using the app. This was a great move, as it prevents your kids from cranking up the volume at inopportune times. What impressed me as well was the pleasant range of tones. No matter if there was spoken dialogue or music, the speaker never cracked or popped.

Unlike Toniebox, this item uses Wi-Fi to download the information from each card. As such, when you are out and about, you can simply insert the story of your choice and you’ll have no issues with buffering or crashing. This was ideal, as we all know that young children and patience don’t mix. Subsequently, I suggest inserting each story into the player to allow it to gather every piece of information for an optimised experience.

Yoto app.

There is an app for everything these days. Consequently, it is advised to download the Yoto app to learn the fundamentals and keep on top of your player. Thankfully, this is free to download and easy to understand. Moreover, setting up an account is straightforward, and I loved how reassuring every element was.

On top of this, the UI is intuitive and selecting settings, customising pixel art, or downloading each story was a cinch. What’s more, you can use your phone to install items on your make-your-own story card. This was impressive as there was no mucking about and every action was simple to understand.

Usability of the Yoto Player 3rd Generation.

Though I adored the excellent audio and the impressive app, where this shines is its usability. Every aspect of the Yoto Player 3rd Generation is designed with children in mind. Therefore, the settings are easy to adjust; the cards are robust and pleasant to use, and flitting through stories, podcasts, or radio stations is child’s play. 

Alongside this, I cherished the ability to control the device from my phone. As such, if the volume was too loud or my kids were playing up, I could adjust the sound or stop the player altogether. The freedom to do this on my mobile was fantastic. Consequently, this item ticks many boxes for adults and children alike.

Build quality.

Child-friendly products and durability go hand-in-hand. Thankfully, Yoto got the memo as this player is robust and sturdy, and can take some roughhousing. What’s more, the control knobs are chunky and easy to manipulate. Additionally, the tactile buttons deliver a pleasant click whenever they are used.

Whether you charge this via a USB-C or the handy docking station, it must be done on a flat surface. For the most user-friendly approach, I recommend the docking station. Not only does this stop your kids from inserting and removing cables, but it also looks cleaner as well.

Talking of inserting items, the cards can be easily placed into the device without the use of force. This was great, as each card had to be securely inserted for the machine to read it. However, you needn’t worry as youngsters can do this without the help of an adult.

Is the Yoto Player 3rd Generation worth it?

If you want your kids to invest their time into books and music, then I suggest this is a great first step. This incredible product looks fantastic and is easy to use. Moreover, it is robust and offers great value for money. Even if you opt for the basic set-up, your kids will adore every moment. Consequently, the Yoto Player 3rd Generation is worth every penny and I recommend that you buy it here!

Accordingly, it is a wonderfully captivating experience that will drive you and your friends to madness.

This tough-to-pickup endeavour is well worth the effort. Moreover, it’ll test your poker face as you play the part of ‘The Faithful’ or a ‘Traitor’. If you’ve ever played a game of Spades, you’ll be familiar with the bluffing and strategy required. Once you understand the fundamentals, you’ll enjoy the sadistic and uncomfortable nature of the gameplay. Moreover, it’ll test your poker face as you play the part of “The Faithful” or a “Traitor”. Additionally, you must use logical thinking and detective skills to identify the traitors amongst your friends. However, this is easier said than done, and plenty of luck is required if you wish to be successful.

Whereas the faithful must root out the bad apple from the bunch. If they can do this, they will share the pot of gold and potentially win. Yet, if the traitor remains, they’ll steal the gold and enhance their chances of winning.

However, it isn’t as simple as this as events, banishments, and murder stand in your way. Additionally, trying to hide your role is no mean feat. Consequently, this is a game that requires a straight face, and plenty of bluffing. As such, though the game claims it is suitable for 8 years up, I’d say it would be better for teenagers onwards.

Digital gameplay.

What I loved about The Traitors card game was the ability to use your phone to enhance the experience. If you scan the QR code, you can complement the card action with your mobile phone. Moreover, the excellent audio adds to the atmosphere. Subsequently, this increases the sense of drama and makes the action reasonably suspenseful.

If you prefer an old-school approach, you can enjoy The Traitors card game just as much. Thanks to the excellent user manual, you can piece together the instructions and enjoy this game with little effort. Thankfully, either option is just as good, and I loved the ability to blackmail, murder, or horde gold to my heart’s content.

Build quality.

This product is extremely well-designed. The thickness of each card and the highly detailed imagery were impressive. What’s more, the easy-to-follow instructions and the simple-to-scan QR codes enhance the user experience. On top of this, the rules are well presented and the addition of a YouTube tutorial helped further. Accordingly, though there is some depth, the manufacturer has done a great job.

Is The Traitors card game worth it?

Finding a card game suitable for up to 8 players is no mean feat. Consequently, I was impressed by how great this game could be with a large audience. Furthermore, the simple-to-follow instructions and the ability to use digital gameplay make this stand out from its peers. Subsequently, if you want a card game that’ll make you question your friends, look no further. As such, I recommend that you buy this here!

The JBUDS MINI earbuds from JLab are tiny! However, their compact size doesn’t impact audio or build quality. Moreover, they are jam-packed with modern features, and this was undeniably impressive. Furthermore, when you consider they retail at £39.99, these earbuds are a real head-turner.

Their tiny form factor won’t appeal to everyone. If you love to run or cycle, there are better alternatives available. Yet, if you want to listen to music, enjoy your favourite TV program, or play games, then this product is something to consider. Additionally, as they are so small, they are the perfect option for teenagers. Available in a choice of colours, these will suit your budget as well as your fashion sense.

JBUDS MINI earbuds technical aspects.

Earbuds have to deliver crisp audio and a healthy range of tones. Now, as the JBUDS MINI earbuds are a budget-friendly option, you’d be excused if you lowered your expectations. However, you needn’t do that as the audio quality is fantastic. The 6mm internal drivers deliver a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. This was impressive as you enjoy a nice tonal range and a warm and hearty bass. 

Alongside this, there is a Be Aware mode that allows you to hear your surroundings. This is perfect if you walk near busy roads or if you use them whilst exercising. Thankfully, this option can be activated using the handy touch controls from the right earbud (more on that later).

If you enjoy the great outdoors, you’ll be glad to know that an IP55 rating protects the earbuds from dust, sweat, and light showers. However, the charging case isn’t rated and I wouldn’t suggest submerging this product in water. Accordingly, you shouldn’t use the JBUDS MINI earbuds if you like to swim lengths at your local pool.

The JLab app and connectivity.

One of the best features of these earbuds has to be the JLab app. This free-to-download software allows you to adjust the preset EQ options. Consequently, you can balance the audio to match the genre of music that you love. Alternatively, you are free to adjust the touch controls to your liking. Subsequently, you can run a stripped-back arrangement that focuses entirely on your needs.

Another shock feature was the Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. This low-power connection ensures that up to 5-hour battery life is reserved for music and nothing else. Moreover, thanks to multi-point connectivity, you can listen to music whilst waiting for a business call. Consequently, this device is perfect if you have a busy schedule.

Touch controls and build quality.

The build quality is fantastic. Furthermore, the range of colours will impress the toughest of critics. However, I have to question the super slippery nature of the charging case. This fiddly little beast is tough enough to open at the best of times. Yet, with low friction material and a small area to open the lid, it can be a challenge. Subsequently, I suggest you take care whenever you open the case.

This issue to one side, the compact earbuds, are great in your ears. Thanks to their lightweight nature and comfortable ear tips, they were pleasant to use. Though the JBUDS MINI earbuds are the tiniest audio device I’ve ever seen, they blew me away. This budget-friendly option delivers excellent audio and a strong 20 hours of battery life. Furthermore, I was impressed by the build quality, even if the case was a little fiddly to use. Accordingly, if you want some decent earbuds that won’t break the bank, then I suggest you look no further!
