Dropbox has updated it’s iPhone and iPad app to version 2.1.2.

Dropbox is a free service that lets you bring all your photos, docs, and videos anywhere. After you install Dropbox on your computer, any file you save to your Dropbox will automatically save to all your computers, your iPhone and iPad and even the Dropbox website! With the Dropbox app, you can take everything that matters to you on the go.

The WordPress app for the iPhone and iPad has been updated to version 3.5.

Driveclub trailer released for PlayStation 4

Another one of the new PlayStation 4 game demos came in the form of Driveclub, and we have the trailer.

This is what was posted on the PlayStation blog:

When I joined Evo nine years ago, the first concept I worked on was for a racing game that was all about racing with friends. It combined the best cars (and they would have to be real ones), on the most breathtaking roads in the world, with gameplay that was totally focused on team-based racing.

I loved the job from day one.

The game was all about utter car passion. It was about connecting people who are as in love with car culture as we are, and creating a universe for these impassioned racers to all play together. We created web design concepts that showed how you could connect with people and access your club when you were away from the living room, and we created prototypes of the most immersive, detailed vehicle interiors and exteriors possible.

Except…they weren’t possible. Our concept was simple, but needed a socially connected network and audiovisual technology that wasn’t available.

When we knew PlayStation 4 was coming, we realised that the time was right to make the Driveclub dream a reality. It was time to combine nearly 15 years of racing game pedigree and a rapidly evolving, connected gaming landscape – this seed of an idea was ready to be realized and the buzz at Evo was unstoppable.

So what did we do?

We expanded our vehicle handling and design team so that together, we have over 50 years’ experience working on the most prestigious racing titles out there, including – WRC, Formula 1, Gran Turismo, MotorStorm, WipEout, Project Gotham Racing, GRID 2 and many more.

We used our PlayStation Vita launch game as a bridge between MotorStorm and Driveclub, testing our theories about connecting social networks with asynchronous challenge-based racing on multiple devices at the same time. It worked really well.

We collaborated with the best car companies in the world, working with them to create the most detailed and authentic car interiors and exteriors possible. The result is staggeringly immersive and visceral. This isn’t cockpit view; this is first-person-racing.

And now, almost a decade later, we’re finally making the game we’ve always wanted to make. It’s time to share our passion, to show you the first glimpse of Driveclub and we can’t wait to show you more.

Knack trailer and screenshots released for PlayStation 4

Another one of the new PlayStation 4 game demos came in the form of Knack, and we have screenshots and the trailer.

The Doctor (a not-so-mad scientist) studied ancient relics from a long lost civilization for many years, and finally found a way to bind them together and give them consciousness. The result is Knack, a creature with mysterious powers – for one, he can incorporate more relics into his body as he finds them, which allows him to transform from a three-foot tall creature into a gigantic wrecking machine.

During the game Knack also discovers that he has a skill (in other words, a knack!) that allows him to incorporate ice, metal and other substances into his body, giving him new abilities from level to level. The result is gameplay which is a little bit like Crash Bandicoot, and a little bit like Katamari Damacy, in that the Knack can get quite large indeed. There’s also a touch of God of War in there, in that there is an epic feel to the game in places.

As for the story, mankind is threatened by a resurgent goblin army and Knack steps forward to protect them – until it becomes clear that an even greater danger is posed by elements of the human community.

Killzone: Shadow Fall trailer and screenshots released for PlayStation 4

Another one of the new PlayStation 4 game demos came in the form of Killzone Shadow Fall, and we have screenshots and the trailer.

The game is set in a near future, thirty years after the events of Killzone 3. The world is a very different place; two rival factions known as the Helghast and the Vektans live side by side in a futuristic city, divided by a vast wall.

Tensions are high, and the cold war they are embroiled in is about to go hot. In the midst of this all stands a Shadow Marshal, you. The most special of the special forces, tasked with maintaining the delicate balance.

From responding to bold attacks, to quiet infiltrations or all out combat, you will be required to adapt and think on your feet as you have to face a variety of escalating events that could destroy your home world.

Toshiba Ultrabooks to feature McAfee Anti-Theft security software

Toshiba Europe announced that its Ultrabook devices will include access to the latest version of McAfee Anti-Theft security software, designed specifically for Ultrabook devices should they be lost or stolen. Customers purchasing Toshiba Ultrabooks before March 31^st 2013 will have access to the software included for a year, after registration and activation by the customer.

Applicable models include the highly portable Satellite U840 and Satellite U940, the Satellite U840W – featuring a cinematic 21:9 screen, perfect for movies – and the high performance Satellite Z930/Z830 and Portégé Z930/Z830 ranges. Additionally, the Satellite U920t convertible Ultrabook is also eligible, combining the simplicity of a tablet with the functionality and full keyboard of a laptop.

McAfee Anti-Theft software is a collaborative effort with Intel Corporation to develop software that takes advantage of Intel Anti-Theft Technology to provide device and data protection for customers in today’s connected world. Samsung to introduce TV Discovery Service

At this year’s Mobile World Congress, Samsung will introduce TV Discovery, a service that offers a faster and easier way for you to find and enjoy video and live TV content.

Complete with personalised recommendations and the ability to search across multiple content providers, TV Discovery can be used from upcoming Samsung mobile devices, Smart TVs, or both.

TV Discovery simplifies the content search process by integrating and relaying real-time programme information from multiple content sources, including traditional live TV, video-on-demand or online content services such as YouTube. Over time, it also offers personal recommendations based on your own viewing and preference history.

The service can be used to find and view content on Samsung SMART TVs and supported mobile devices, or to easily transfer or mirror content between connected devices. TV Discovery also transforms a connected tablet into a universal remote control, meaning you can conduct on-demand and live TV programme searches directly from your mobile device and view selections on your Samsung SMART TV.

TV Discovery will initially aggregate content from Netflix and Blockbuster in the US and Acetrax, Wuaki, MovieMax, FilmIn, Chili, Pathé and SF Anytime in Europe.

TV Discovery features include:

inFAMOUS Second Son PlayStation 4 Debut Trailer released

One of the games shown at last nights PlayStation 4 event was inFAMOUS Second Son from WWS Sucker Punch Productions, and we have the trailer.

Delsin Rowe is the star of Second Son, and you probably know someone like him: A 24 year-old who is absolutely convinced he’s destined for greatness; though so far that greatness has managed to elude him. He grew up just outside Seattle, where his great – if accidental – calling comes crashing into his life. After rescuing occupants from a fiery bus wreck, he discovers that he suddenly has the ability to direct, manipulate and even transform into… Smoke. Could he have absorbed this power from one of the passengers he pulled from the wreckage?

Setting the scene: It’s been seven years since the Cole McGrath episodes and the world has clearly changed. Anyone showing signs of being a so-called “bio-terrorist” is immediately handed over to the Department of Unified Protection (DUP) — a government agency created to ensure there is never a repeat of the catastrophic events of Empire City and New Marais. So Delsin, who has never been particularly respectful of authority, finds himself caught in the DUP dragnet – And decides he’s not going to go quietly.

Along the way, Delsin is going to ask questions that are not just relevant to the world of Second Son – but to the world we all live in today. A world where we are often instructed to surrender our freedoms to help improve our security. Ben Franklin once wrote “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” Is he right?

As you play Second Son, you’ll explore lots of Seattle’s familiar landmarks. As with all games in this series, the path the gameplay and story take will depend on the decisions you make along the way. Of course, we are creating all these characters and locations at a remarkable level of detail – made possible by PS4.

Tomb Raider : Guide to Survival Episode Three Survival Combat

SQUARE ENIX and Crystal Dynamics have released a video for their forthcoming game Tomb Raider. This is episode 3 of the Guide to Survival and is called Survival Combat.

The first two episodes of Guide to Survival highlighted how an inexperienced Lara Croft must use her intellect and whatever she can scavenge to survive the harsh conditions of Yamatai. In this final episode we dig deep into Lara’s scrappy and raw approach to combat.

The elements aren’t the only thing after Lara on the island – predators come in both two and four-legged varieties. Lara’s unlocked skills and weapon upgrades culminate in her combat style, executed in both close-quarters and frenzied firefights.

Outnumbered and outgunned, stealth is frequently Lara’s strongest advantage. Approaching enemies undetected will allow her to pull of silent kills and keep fellow Solarii in the dark. The environment will also provide frequent opportunities for Lara to gain the upper hand. She must always be prepared to brawl up close, however, aided by dodge and counter moves and improved equipment. With wits and weapons combined, Lara is a smart and ultimately very dangerous fighter.

Big Update Coming Soon to Halo 4

A massive update is coming soon for Halo 4 from 343 Industries, no date for the release of this update but here is the list of what will be included in the update.

Gameplay

Reduced the range of the Boltshot’s damage scaling over distance. The previous effective range for 1-hit kills was around 20-25′. The range has been reduced to 15′.
Fixed an issue where modified loadouts were not being saved correctly.
Fixed an issue where attempting to sprint while crouching using “hold to crouch” would cause players to be unable to shoot for 1-1.5 seconds.
Fixed an issue where some players were not able to get into matches on new map/game variants after playlist updates.
Fixed a DLC-related Join-in-Progress issue that kicked players back to the title screen.
Fixed various issues regarding glitched Autosentry deployment.
Fixed an issue where one player per session was unable to stay scoped with the Flagnum.
Fixed an issue where clients playing multi-round matches were not propelled by Man Cannons after the first round on Wreckage.
Fixed an issue for players who had licensed content for the specialization offer, and had the free Map Pack content, but did not have the Map Pass or Map Pack license by displaying a new error message: “You have Map Pack content that requires a license. Please purchase the War Games Map Pass, purchase the Map Pack individually, or delete the Map Pack content from your console.”

Vehicles

Fixed issues with friendly fire against vehicles. If FF is disabled, damage/EMPs from friendly sources will no longer damage vehicles that are fully controlled by your team.
Fixed an issue with where the Wraith secondary turret became disabled when shot with a Plasma Pistol. The feature has been updated to be consistent with previous Halo titles.
Fixed a Mantis functionality exploit that allowed pilots to survive planted grenades.

Specific Game Modes

Friendly fire turned off in Flood to prevent exploits.
Fixed Flood character models to allow for Warthog and Mongoose use.
Fixed an inconsistency with King of the Hill deathcam.
Fixed an issue where the Grifball would get stuck in geometry and never respawn.
Fixed the issue for Extraction where players did not regain full control of their character for extended periods of time after interacting with a site.
Fixed multiple Extraction scoring issues, including an overtime fix that ensures that a victory will not be awarded to a team who is controlling the go-ahead extraction point when the game ends.

Custom Games

Fixed an issue that did not allow players to create respawn timers or disable instant respawn in custom games.
Fixed an issue on Shatter where players couldn’t start a custom Dominion game.
Fixed an issue where the Ordnance game options reset when scrolling up or down in custom games.
Fixed an issue where custom game descriptions did not appear in the “Settings” preview screen.
Fixed inconsistencies and bugs in the final death cam for custom games.

Spartan Ops

Fixed an issue where the “Dedicated to Crimson” Achievement could not be unlocked.
Fixed an issue where players in Spartan Ops Episode 6 Mission 1 were able to look around before the vignette.

Miscellaneous

Fixed a selection of issues where theater clips were missing map-specific audio, including ambient noise and announcer voice.
Fixed File Share preview images for films and map variants.
Fixed issues with in-game translations.
Fixed title screen camera clipping.
Fixed an issue with Forge pieces and the shadows they create.
Fixed aliasing split screen HUD issues.
Fixed an issue where some saved films of Forge games featured no Forge lighting.
Fixed incorrect “change description” text in File Browser.
Fixed assorted crashes.
