A few days ago we reported that HP had released an update patch on their website for owners of the HP MediaSmart and DataVault Windows Home Servers. That patch is now available to download and install from the Windows Home Server console.

So you have to do the dreaded Factory Reset? I did. I had a major Add-In conflict and after a call to Sean at HP Tech Support (yes even I get stuck once in a while) I had a self imposed Factory Reset. So what happens after that first factory start?
I am on vacation and my Windows Home Server Console stopped responding. I can still upload, download and stream but the console screen (after login) is just gray and blue. Something is borked so what do I do? If I could get to the WHS Console I would just use the Restart button. Ugh. Restarting WHS should fix it, but how?
