Recently I wrote about my five Core Add-Ins for my standard Windows Home Server installations and I am about to add a sixth Add-In to the list. The AutoExit Add-In is one of those rare gems that does not get a lot of attention. This Add-In can save you a lot of time and frustration on your home network.

Today I am in the lovely city of Reno, Nevada for the Hot August Nights car show and to visit my sister with her dead Buffalo. While I am here I will be replacing that Buffalo NAS with a new $200 HP MediaSmart LX195 Windows Home Server.

I just received my $199 LX195. The HP special last week was too good to pass up. There is not much to talk about. There is no reason to take it apart. I am not even going to review it. So why did I buy it?

Each Friday night I write an article about some aspect of Windows Home Server. I write about Add-Ins, hardware, software, tips and even reasons to use Windows Home Server. Friday when I got home I decided I was just going to enjoy Windows Home Server and give it the night off. Well you know what I mean.

I just got my mother a new Dell laptop from Best Buy and I am going to connect it to her Windows Home Server. This usually is not a task worth mentioning but the Geek Squad at Best Buy opens the PCs they sell before you get them.
