Review: VA-11 HALL-A

Nintendo seems keen to turn the Nintendo Switch’s eShop into the equivalent of the Steam store. Go on the eShop for the popular handheld/console hybrid and you’ll stumble upon all sorts of games. One such game is called VA-11 HALL-A and it is definitely one of the most bizarre games that anyone is likely to play.

MARVEL Studios to Return to Hall H at San Diego Comic Con 2020

Multiple news sites are now reporting that after skipping San Diego Comic Con in 2018, MARVEL Studios will be returning to the famous ‘Hall H’ for 2020. With the current MCU Saga coming to an end with Spider-Man: Far From Home, which will serve as the closing of events following Avengers: End Game, we really have no concrete plans for what will happen with the MCU next other than the obvious sequels to Black Panther, Captain MARVEL and others which all seem likely.

MARVEL Studios basically skipped SDCC 2019 because they had nothing to really show after Avengers: End Game ended the Infinity Stones saga, so the fact they are already heading back to SDCC 2020 is a good thing, and though it is a reason to be excited, fans should possibly still hold back a little.

Right now we know that various TV shows have been announced for the Disney + streaming service such as ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ , a Loki series as well as Vision and Scarlet Witch shows are all being planned and all but confirmed. As for films well we can expect the Black Widow solo film to start filming soon and a lot is being made of a possible ‘The Eternals’ film being announced.

Not to mention the fact that now the Fox deal has completed, MARVEL Studios now has access to the full X-Men universe including Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool so even if they reveal very little they could full on surprise us with the next saga roadmap or at least, which of the MCU sequels could potentially start that phase such as the next Avengers film.

Either way, MARVEL Studios back at SDCC is definitely something to look forward too and perhaps even more than ever, all eyes will certainly be on Hall H!

My Friend Pedro is a violent ballet about friendship, imagination, and one man’s struggle to obliterate anyone in his path at the behest of a sentient banana. Titans Season 2 Adds Superboy and Aqualad

I really enjoyed the first Season of Titans after its successful debut on the DC Universe Streaming service, it was a very grown up and gritty take on the traditional Teen Titans world. Now with Season 2 already in production, casting news has come out to reveal that both Superboy and Aquaman roles have been cast.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BxkhoLRh9XA/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Earlier this week it was confirmed that Drew Van Acker, who some may recognise from Pretty Little Liars, will play the role of Garth who is stepping out from the shadow of his mentor to become his own hero, something no doubt that Robin will certainly relate to.

We also now know that Joshua Orphin has been cast as Superboy, struggling to deal with his own place in the world and trying to piece together his own secret past. He was introduced in a post credit scene of Season 1’s finale. Conor Kent from the comics is a very interesting character, especially his strained relationship with Superman before he is accepted.

Both will join Esai Morales to play Deathstroke/Slade Wilson, Chella Man as his son Jericho and Chelsea T. Zhang as daughter Rose,  and Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne. Original cast mebers Brenton Thwaites, Teagan Croft, Anna Diop, Alan Ritchson, Minka Kelly, Seamus Dever, Bruno Bichir and Lindsey Gort all return from Season 1.

Titans is available on the DC Universe streaming service and on Netflix for those of us outside the US.

Batwoman to Kick off Fall Season of ArrowVerse Shows

The ArrowVerse is set to change and never be the same from Fall 2019 as not only does it launch the new series of Batwoman but it will also see the end of the show that kicked it all off back in October of 2012, Arrow.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrIiPcv4_iY

Today the CW Network has confirmed its Fall Schedule, reported on by the Hollywood Reporter and Batwoman is front and centre as it Premiers on Sunday October 6th and will be paired with Supergirl, which will air right after. So this is how the ArrowVerse will air in the US this October:

Sunday, Oct. 6
Batwoman 9pm ET/PT
Supergirl 9pm ET/PT

Tuesday, Oct. 8
The Flash 8pm ET/PT

Tuesday, Oct. 15
Arrow (final season) 9pm ET/PT

Monday, Oct. 21
Black Lightning  9pm ET/PT

Waiting for confirmation but the shows will more than likely to come to Sky yet again although  their air dates yet to be released and if they will show Batwoman.

I am looking forward to seeing how Batwoman does, the tease during last years big crossover event ‘Elseworlds’ went very well with fans and with perhaps the biggest crossover event already being setup in the finales of all the shows, Crisis on Infinite Earths looks to be the way in which the ArrowVerse will evolve as one Dark Knight rises and one Emerald Archer bids farewell.

Review: Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes

Suda 51’s No More Heroes has always felt more at home on a Nintendo system, so it’s no surprise that Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is currently a Nintendo Switch exclusive. But does Travis Touchdown still have a few tricks up his sleeves or should he have stayed retired?
