“We are thrilled to have partnered with Twitter to celebrate the upcoming launch of Halo Wars 2. By creating this community experience exclusively on Twitter, we are able to bring fans around the world a truly personalized gaming experience in real-time,” said Dan Ayoub, studio head for strategy games at 343 Industries.

If there’s something that Nintendo has excelled on in recent years it’s in the unique hardware that it has released. In a way, it’s almost as if Nintendo has turned into the old Sega that used to experiment with its own hardware releases. It’s certainly no longer surprising for a company that released such revolutionising hardware as the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS to have announced the Nintendo Switch.

A few years back, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was released as the Gamecube’s swan song and as a key title in the Nintendo Wii’s much awaited hardware release. The upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild seems to be going down the same path as it’s been confirmed that it will launch on the same day as the Nintendo Switch hardware and it’s still on schedule to be released on the Nintendo Wii U on the same day.

Nintendo started a trend for its software when it released Wii Sports on the Nintendo Wii. This compilation of mini-games turned out to be so successful that the company released other titles like it, such as Wii Play and Nintendo Land. It’s only fitting that it continues this trend with upcoming Nintendo Switch release, 1-2-Switch.

Nintendo seems to have enjoyed its time developing so many motion controls focused titles for the unique Nintendo Wii, that it makes sense that it’s not bucking the trend on the upcoming Nintendo Switch. The first title to get the motion controls treatment is the upcoming ARMS.

It’s been a long time coming and yet after so many years, Sega has finally caved in by developing a new 2D Sonic tittle. The highly anticipated upcoming Sonic Mania is now also coming to the Nintendo Switch, which is appropriate given that Nintendo hardware became Sonic’s starting foster home after the demise of Sega as a hardware developer.
