Streets of Rage 4 New Character and Release Platforms Announced In New Trailer

0

Fans looking forward to playing Streets of Rage 4next year will be able to do so on their platform of choice as publisher and co-developer Dotemu (Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, Windjammers 1 and 2) with co-developers Lizardcube (Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap) and Guard Crush Games (Streets of Fury) today announced that the title will make its way on to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. A brand new gameplay trailer released today also introduced the latest character to join Blaze Fielding and Axel Stone: a badass guitar-playing warrior named Cherry Hunter.

Cherry Hunter is the daughter of Adam Hunter from the original Streets of Rage.
Trained by her father and Axel, Cherry learned self-defense from a young age. Her interest in following in her father’s footsteps and becoming a cop soon faded out, replaced by her love of music. Nowadays, she plays with her electro progressive rock band in some of the most dangerous places in Wood Oak City. She may look young but make no mistake – she is a seasoned veteran of kicking ass and taking names.

The new trailer also reveals several more levels in the upcoming game at different times of day:  neon lighted urban rooftops, elevator, seedy airport hangars, dirty sewers, thumping music stage and many more are all yours for the taking – lay the smackdown and don’t look back.

Streets of Rage 4 will be the first entry to the core series in 25 years, standing as Axel and Blaze’s glorious return to serving up side-scrolling beatdowns. With lush hand-drawn animations, new combat abilities, and fresh tracks from an amazing team of composers, Streets of Rage 4 will be a masterful tribute to and revitalization of the classic action fans adore.

Streets of Rage 4 is being shown at Gamescom 2019 by appointment only in the business area of the conference center. Fans looking to play the latest build of Streets of Rage 4 can do so at the upcoming PAX West event in Seattle in booth 6802.

Review: The Slush Puppie Machine from Firebox

As a kid I used to love Slush Puppies, and now you can get a machine of your very own – so here is our review.

This is how Firebox describe it:

“The brightly coloured tongues, the powerful brain freeze, the intoxicating sugar high. Slush Puppies were the sh*t, and now you can make them in the comfort of your own home!

New and improved but still replete with all the authentic retro finishings of the original; this legendary countertop machine will let you churn out fruit Slush Puppies, iced coffees or frozen cocktails to your heart’s content.

Simply load up the drum with ice, table salt (don’t worry, you can’t taste it) and your juice or syrup of choice – then watch in wonder as it pumps out cool slushie delights.”

What’s in the box?

The box contains the Slush Puppie machine, a manual, 4 cups and straws and all the bits to make the machine work.

A Closer Look

Final Thoughts

Many, many years ago, back in the 1980’s, Slush Puppies were all the rage. You would use your pocket money, or sometimes your school lunch money to get one, and they were delicious!

Now you can get your very own Slush Puppie machine and have as many drinks as you want!

The machine is really easy to set up – just take it out of the box, plug it in, put the ice in the top, decide how you want the ice crushed up and turn the machine on. The crushed ice will come out the bottom into the jug and then when you are ready you pour the ice into a cup (you get 4 cups and straws supplied if you want that totally authentic feeling).

You’ll also need to buy some syrup if want that true authentic Slush Puppie experience. Firebox sell Cherry and Blue Raspberry but there are also other flavours, including my favourite Cola!

So pour the syrup into the cup (most likely more than you would have got in the cup in the 80’s – it always felt like they never gave you enough) and then drink away! They taste just as good now as they did then.

The Slush Puppie Machine from Firebox is a must have addition to your kitchen, especially if you were like me who drunk them in the 80’s. Great for a hot day, or a cold day – let’s be honest, we drank them all year round! What flavour was your favourite? I’m off for another drink.

The Slush Puppie Machine from Firebox is available now priced £39.99.

Tranbot-360 – Defenders of the Zone

Urban Blazerz

Brix Play

play2Discover Dough

For £1 per toy, you just can’t go wrong, even if they only get played with a couple of times, you are more than getting your monies worth! They will be great stocking fillers and general treats.

The new toy range is available in all stores nationwide from 5thAugust and comes as part of a wider range expansion for the entire toys sector ahead of Christmas.

Poundland Launches New Toy Range

Poundland have launched a range of new kids’ toys to take on the high price of the sought-after brands.

The new range includes its own brand of building blocks, foam dart guns and die-cast cars all compatible with leading brands and at prices up to 95% lower than the big toy brands.

Examples include Poundland’s new Cyber Combat range of foam darts – six times cheaper than the branded alternative. Poundland’s 20-bullet refill pack costs just £1 compared to the equivalent brand’s 30-refill pack at £5.99.

Combating the price of expensive block building sets with its Brix Play alternative, the £1 price tag makes topping up kids’ branded collection more affordable, especially if replacing a standard building set, which could retail for £9 or more.

Another highspeed alternative is Poundland’s Urban Blazerz range of die-cast cars. The toys have been specially made to fit all types of model tracks. These indistinguishable Poundland cars don’t have the supercar price tags either, retailing for £1 for a two-car set, in comparison to branded versions, priced at £3.99 a car.

The Sparkle Squad Ponies (£1) are also in the mix with a price competitive range costing up to 95 per cent less than the branded equivalent (£20.99), alongside the ever-popular Play & Learn Mini Dough pots (4 pack). Combine the dough with cutters and sculptors all for just £3, an unbeatable price in comparison to the branded mini pack, costing up to 66 per cent more with tools.

With the Christmas season just four months away and the summer holidays in full swing, parents won’t be short of present and entertainment ideas this year, without having to raid their piggy banks.

Poundland’s Chief Toy Buyer, Richard Brewin, said “Toy companies have a real nerf when it comes to high prices and we’re putting an end to it. Parents should be able to treat their kids without breaking the bank. We’re delivering hot prices for the hottest toys in the market.”

The new toy range is available in all stores nationwide from 5thAugust and comes as part of a wider range expansion for the entire toys sector ahead of Christmas.

Review: Little Rockerz Costume Dragon Headphones for Kids from IFROGZ

Here is our review of the Little Rockerz Costume Dragon Headphones for Kids from IFROGZ.

The Little Rockerz Costume headphones display features which enhance the listening experience. Due to a built-in volume limiter the headphone volume won’t go above 85 decibels.

With options for boys and girls, kids can choose the costume that best fits their personality.

What’s in the box?

The box contains the headphones.

A Closer Look

Final Thoughts

There are a number of different versions of the Costume headphones – for this review we received the Dragon ones (which I think are the coolest). These are orange with dragon wings on the top.

The headphones themselves are very lightweight and are easy to carry around in a bag without taking up much room. They are also soft and are comfortable to wear for any period of time.

The headphones are designed to only have an 85dB maximum volume so your littles ones ears shouldn’t be hurt if the volume gets too loud, this is a great feature in children’s headphones.

There is a built in buddy jack audio splitter which means you can plug your own headphones into the jack you can listen to whatever your little one is listening to.

The cable is 1.2 metres long so there is plenty of room between the headphones and the device you are plugging them in to. They are also coiled which makes it easier and safer to use if you don’t need 1.2 metres of cable!

The sound quality is good and what you would expect from a headphone of this type.

All in all these are a great set of headphones and if you have a little one than needs some headphones, and wants to look a little different than wearing normal run of the mill headphones then take a look at the Little Rockerz Costume headset range from IFROGZ. Like I said, my favourite is the Dragon ones, but that’s just me – er, I mean, my son!

The Little Rockerz Costume headset range from IFROGZ is available now priced around £24.99.

The game is based on the thrilling Chinese action fantasy movie “Monkey King: Hero is Back” that was released in theaters in 2015 and tells the story of a young boy named Liuer and his adventures with the Monkey King, Sun Wukong, who is released after having been imprisoned for 500 years. Known by movie fans worldwide as one of the premier examples of Chinese animation, the movie went on to set a box office record for animated movies in China at the time, grossing more than 160 million EUR upon its release.

With “Monkey King: Hero is Back” for PlayStation 4, Sony Interactive Entertainment has teamed up with Oct Animation Studio, the studio behind the movie’s breathtaking visuals, to create a game faithful to the look and feel of the movie.

Like the movie, this action-adventure game tells the story of the young monk Liuer meeting his hero Sun Wukong, but places the focus on the Monkey King himself while also introducing players to various stories and subplots not found in the movie. Together, Sun Wukong, Liuer, and Pigsy embark on a journey of adventure, while deepening the bonds of friendship between them. Players assume the role of Sun Wukong and use his mystical skills and abilities to defeat the assorted foes before them. The game immerses players in the middle of their own tale of adventure, while also enabling them to experience the rich and deep story the beloved movie is known for.

The “Monkey King: Hero is Back” Hero Edition features the main game plus the season pass, consisting of two additional stories available as DLC (“Uproar in Heaven” and “Mind Palace”), 2 in-game costumes for the protagonist (Tuxedo and the Dasheng Doll), as well as special items that can be utilized within the game.
