In the second of our Let’s Play series for Ni No Kuni : Wrath of the White Witch, we are reunited with Oliver and Mr Drippy as they head to Ding Dong Dell.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is an epic Japanese role-playing-game developed by the critically acclaimed Japanese development studio, LEVEL-5. The game features animations and cut-scenes that are produced and supervised by the legendary Japanese animation company, Studio Ghibli. The music in the game was composed by the world-renowned music composer Joe Hisaishi.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is the heart-warming tale of a young boy named Oliver, who embarks on a journey into another world to become a wizard in an attempt to save his mother. Along the way, Oliver makes new friends and tames many of the wonderful creatures that inhabit the world, raising them to battle other creatures on his behalf as he takes on formidable enemies.

New Xbox to Introduce Siri-style Voice Recognition?

Microsoft will introduce Siri-style voice recognition to the new Xbox, a report has claimed.

Next-generation Xbox users will have the ability to power on the console using voice commands, ask the device questions and use speech-to-text services to write messages, according to the Verge.

The Kinect sensor, meanwhile, will reportedly detect individuals in a room and  recommend appropriate multiplayer games. Users will also be able to resume videos where they left off by using voice commands and ask the device  what games friends are playing.

Rayman Legends Coming To Xbox 360 and PS3 This Year

Rayman Legends will be released on Xbox 360 and PS3, Ubisoft has announced.

Originally planned as a Wii U launch title, the platform game will be available on all  formats in early September. The Wii U version was previously listed for March.

“We heard from many Xbox and PlayStation owners and Rayman fans who  told us they really wanted to play Rayman Legends on their current  system,” explained Ubisoft marketing manager Geoffroy Sardin.

“We  decided to give the fans what they wanted while at the same time broadening the  audience exposed to this innovative and memorable game.”

The Xbox 360 and  PS3 ports will be developed at Ubisoft Montpellier alongside the Wii U version.

Activision and Nickelodeon announce Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles interactive games

Nickelodeon and Activision today announced a worldwide, multi-year deal to develop and publish video games inspired by the new CG-animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Under the new agreement, Activision has the global rights to produce interactive games based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

“Activision is a leader in the gaming industry and we are honored to have them as the global video game partner for our new hit series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” said Sherice Torres, Senior Vice President of Entertainment Products, Nickelodeon Consumer Products. “We are confident that these upcoming games will take gamers through interactive environments and action-packed adventures that truly capture the essence, tone and exciting elements of the Turtles.

“The fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are unique in that they span generations and are very passionate,” said Kurt Niederloh, Vice President, Activision Publishing Minneapolis, Inc. “We respect this passion and look forward to working with Nickelodeon to create games that embody the spirit of the property.”

Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premiered in the UK and Ireland on 1st October, 2012. Funnier and with more ninjutsu than ever before, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles explores the companionship of four teenage brothers learning to rely on themselves and one another as they unravel the mystery of their existence and grow to become the heroes in a half-shell that they are destined to be. The premiere episode was executive produced by Ciro Nieli, Joshua Sternin & J.R. Ventimilia and Peter Hastings. The series airs regularly on Nickelodeon with new episodes premiering Saturdays at 9:30am.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct proper trailer released

As well as announcing some Pre-Order Bonus DLC for The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct game, Activision has also released a proper trailer.

In the game, players assume the role of the mysterious, crossbow-wielding survivor Daryl Dixon. This first-person survival title takes place within the universe of “The Walking Dead” and before the events of the AMC show, following Daryl and his brother Merle on a gruesome journey to reach the supposed safety of Atlanta as the world around them ends.

The release date is now confirmed for the UK as 29th March 2013 and it will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC (digital download).

I am a big fan of both the comic and the TV show, and I really like what TellTale Games have done with their game so I am excited to see what Activision will bring.

Activision has announced some Pre-Order Bonus DLC for The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct game.

The dead need no rest – will you?  In addition, fight off walkers in the story mode with a new arsenal of melee weapons including a survival knife, sawtoothed machete, kukri, reinforced hatchet and advanced machete. With ammo scarce and the undead attracted to loud noises, a sharp, silent blade might just be your most trusted companion (note: a new game must be started to access the extra weapons).

PlayStation 4 to Cost £270 at Launch

Sony’s PlayStation 4 will  reportedly retail at 40,000 Yen when it launches in Japan.

Based on  current exchange rates, the console would sell for $428 in North America and  approximately £270 in the UK. In comparison, the PS3 launched at 60,000 Yen in  Japan, $599 in North America and £425 in the UK.

A report in major Japanese newspaper the Asahi Shimbun (via The Verge) suggests that the console  will indeed be announced on February  20, and will launch later this year in Japan and North America.

No  mention was made of the European release date, however, suggesting that recent reports of a 2014 launch may be accurate.

It is believed that the  console’s new controller will feature a touch pad, while another report in the  Nikkei business daily says that the console will use cloud technology provided by Gaikai.
