Wikipad combines the unrivaled gaming experience of a console with the functionality and portability of a premium tablet, thanks to its unique attachable game controller.

In addition to the new compact form factor, refinements have been made to the dual-analog stick controller to ensure lightning-fast response times and the best gaming experience possible.

Wikipad also announced the relaunch of its website that now includes a comprehensive support page that has dynamic links to social networks and technical forums.

Wikipad – Built for Gaming

The Wikipad is the only tablet to possess the unique combination of truly immersive video game experiences found in consoles with the functionality and portability of a tablet thanks to its award winning attachable dual-analog controller. It offers a premium 7″ IPS screen, 16 GB memory with micro SD slot to support an additional 32 GB of storage, ultra-light and thin chassis, is powered by the NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 quad-core mobile processor and it is optimized for cloud gaming. In a blog post, Raspberry Pi’s Liz Upton also gave a sneak peek of a camera accessory that will be released in this year.

Upton said that there is still more work to do on the drivers in the camera board, and the team is trying to get the picture quality from “pretty good” to “bleedin’ marvellous”, before it  is released.

But Liz added: “Everything’s looking pretty peachy for the  moment. I don’t have a release date for you yet, but we’re probably at least a month away (and possibly more) from being able to sell these at the moment.”

The site says that users won’t be able to change the camera lens, add physical filters or zoom, but the camera module will support HD video. It is expected to cost $25 (£15).

Dead Space A Journey Through Terror Part 3 of 4 Core Gameplay Features

DS3_EAx360PFTltd_front01_thumb1_thum[2]

Before you take down the terror in Dead Space 3 on February the 8th, take a look back on Isaac Clarke’s journey so far.

In four parts, the Dead Space Journey Through Terror series charts the evolution of the Dead Space series to date – its story, its gameplay and its scares, and also provides a glimpse at what the next chapter has in store for Isaac Clarke in Dead Space 3.

The third episode of the Dead Space: A Journey Through Terror mini series explores some of the core gameplay features.

Atmosphere in the Dead Space series is key. Everything, from the story to the gameplay, is shaped with creating a certain kind of atmosphere in mind. Because of this, the games of Dead Space have always maintained a minimal heads-up display; all of the information the player needs is worked directly into the game environment. The player’s health is displayed as part of Isaac’s engineering suit, video and audio tapes are played back through the suit’s built-in technology – in short, everything the player sees, Isaac sees.
