Final Thoughts
The Slim V10 Apex is very lightweight and fits nicely in the hand, so you can use it for a good while without your arm getting tired.
The suction is genuinely impressive for something this size. On High mode (up to 19,000Pa) it pulls up crumbs, sand, grit and dog hair from car mats and seats with no trouble at all. Switch to Low mode and you get around 30 minutes of cleaning time, which is more than enough to do the whole car in one go.
The HD digital display is a nice touch – the ring LED shows you how much battery is left and H or L tells you which mode you are in, so there is no guessing.
There are 10 accessories in the box and they all have their uses. The crevice nozzle gets right down between the seats and into the door pockets, the brushes are great for vents and the dashboard, and the pet brush makes short work of hair on the upholstery.
It isn’t just a vacuum either. Pop off the dust cup and you can use it as a blower to clear dust from your keyboard, or to inflate a swim ring or air mattress (and deflate it again afterwards). It also works really well for sucking the air out of vacuum storage bags.
Emptying it is really simple and quick – one press of a button and the dust cup empties straight into the bin, so you don’t have to get your hands dirty. The HEPA filter can be taken out and cleaned too, which is worth doing regularly to keep the suction at its best.
It is small enough to keep in the glove box or boot, so it is always there when you need it – definitely one to keep in the car.
