Final Thoughts
The C8 Nano is nice and compact and, at around 470g, it is really comfortable to hold even when you are working your way through a big pile of boxes.
When fully charged (a full charge takes about an hour), you get up to 40 minutes of continuous cutting. That might not sound like a lot, but in practice it is more than enough to break down a whole week’s worth of deliveries in one go. The LED display shows you exactly how much battery is left so you won’t get caught out halfway through a job.
Getting started is really simple – hold down the safety button with your thumb, squeeze the trigger and off you go. As soon as you let go of the trigger the safety lock kicks back in, which is reassuring, especially if you have little ones around.
There are three speed settings to choose from and switching between them is quick and easy. The lower speed is great for more careful cuts in fabric or leather, while the top speed makes short work of cardboard.
Cutting performance is really impressive for something this size, gliding through standard single-wall cardboard, carpet offcuts and plastic packaging with very little effort. It does struggle a bit with thick double-wall cardboard, but that is to be expected and Fanttik is upfront about the 1/4 inch limit.
The built-in LED lights are a nice touch as they light up your cutting line – really handy if you are working in a dim garage or loft.
Changing the blade is also really easy thanks to the EasySwap system. Just use the supplied metal key and the blade comes off in one simple step. You get two blades in the box and they are compatible with other electric scissor blades, so finding replacements shouldn’t be a problem.
The C8 Nano also picked up a Red Dot Design Award in 2025, and it is easy to see why – it looks great, feels well made and is genuinely useful around the home.
