With Christmas less than 2 months away, here is our review of the Dimplex DXHTG Super Cosy Throw in Grey.

Wrap yourself in warmth with the Dimplex DXHTG Super Cosy Throw, designed for anyone who wants to stay snug without having to turn up the central heating. Choose from 9 heat settings and a 9-hour timer to get your comfort level exactly right, all wrapped up in a super-soft fleece that feels lovely the moment you pick it up.

Perfect for chilly evenings on the sofa, lazy weekend mornings or warming up your bed before you climb in, the throw heats up quickly and is easy to control with its handheld remote.

With overheat protection and auto shut-off built in, you can relax knowing safety has been taken care of. The remote and cable both detach so the throw can go straight in the washing machine, and with running costs from just 4p per hour*, staying warm this winter won’t break the bank.

A Closer Look

Final Thoughts

The Super Cosy Throw is exactly what the name suggests – the fleece is really soft and it feels very comfortable whether you are curled up on the sofa or have it spread across the bed.

Getting started couldn’t be simpler. Just connect the controller to the throw, plug it in and pick one of the 9 heat settings. It warms up quickly (you will notice the difference within a few minutes) and the higher settings are seriously toasty, so you will probably find yourself settling somewhere in the middle.

The 9-hour timer is a really useful touch. You can set it for a short burst while you watch a film or leave it running for the whole evening, and the auto shut-off means you don’t need to worry if you nod off underneath it. There is also overheat protection built in for extra peace of mind.

Using it to pre-heat the bed works really well too – pop it on half an hour or so before bedtime and you will be climbing into a nice warm bed rather than cold sheets.

Don’t worry about the odd spilt cup of tea either. Both the remote and the cable detach, so the throw can simply go in the washing machine when it needs a freshen up.

With running costs from around 4p per hour, it is also a much cheaper way of keeping warm than heating the whole house – definitely worth considering now the evenings are drawing in.

The Dimplex DXHTG Super Cosy Throw is available now priced around £49.99 and comes in Grey. There is also a Grey/White version (the DXHTGW) which adds a sherpa side if you want something even fluffier.
