If you fancy a wireless device, I suggest looking at the MC5 or MC7. However, if you want reliability, a lack of battery life, and an affordable leading gaming mouse, this will be right up your street.
This wired-only mouse has a distinctive style and plenty of buttons to play with. In fact, there are 29 programmable functions, including a side-scrolling barrel. This makes it a fantastic choice if you need programmable inputs or love MMO or fast-paced strategy games. This wasn’t anything I took serious advantage of, but I appreciate the usability and how many gamers will drool over this design choice.
On top of the versatility is a peripheral that is designed to withstand the harshest of environments. The Owl-Eye optic sensor is ridiculously responsive and hard-wearing. Furthermore, the Titan switches have near-instant actuation, and they are rated up to 150M clicks! The result is a mouse that will endure the toughest of environments.

Technical aspects.
A gaming mouse is only as good as the specs it offers. After all, what is the point of investing heavily in something that doesn’t set you apart from the crowd? Thankfully, the Command Series MC3 Mouse does just that with its lack of battery life, almost instant actuation, programmable buttons, and ridiculously responsive optical sensors. Additionally, the build quality is out of this world.
The Owl-Eye optical sensor is where this device shines. This 30K DPI optical sensor offers pinpoint precision on virtually any surface. Therefore, it doesn’t matter what gaming mat you choose; you will enjoy buttery smooth performance and exceptional accuracy. Alongside this, you experience 1000 Hz polling for lightning-fast response rates. This is up there with some of the best gaming peripherals. This is even more impressive when you consider the affordable price point.
The wired-only approach will be a sticking point for many. My preference when using a mouse is a lack of wire. I like the freedom, and a docking point removes the concern of battery life. This would normally put me off, but I liked the flexible cable, the lightweight design, and not having to worry about charging it between epic gaming sessions. This gave me more freedom to focus on the action and little else.
Customisation.
Where the Command Series MC3 Mouse excels is its Easy-Shift programmable buttons. This mouse has 15 functional inputs that can be multi-mapped. The Easy-Shift functionality allows you to effectively double up every input for a whopping 29-button design. I’m not going to lie, this took me a little bit of time to get my head around, but once I knew what I was doing, this was an exceptionally convenient way to play strategy and MMO games.
Adjusting each input was a breeze, thanks to the Swarm II app. This free-to-download software is easy to work with as the UI is intuitive. Once the app is loaded, you may change every key binding to match the game you are playing. This is quick, simple, and it makes you a competitive beast that’ll nail anyone or anything that crosses your path.
Build quality.
The build quality is second to none! The hardened plastic shell is durable and will resist some knocks and bumps. The black finish offers a professional edge that isn’t too in your face. This is going to appeal to gamers who want all the bells and whistles without a glowing and gaudy peripheral.
One of the standout features is the left thumb, side-mounted section. This feels incredibly comfortable to use even though it wasn’t familiar. The positioning offers a low-fatigue gaming layout that doesn’t stretch or pressurise your thumb. The result is hours of gaming and no pain or discomfort. Moreover, once you are familiar with each button, you’ll smash every opponent you face.

Is the Command Series MC3 Mouse worth it?
A wired-only option may seem restrictive, but a little mindset reset is all that is needed. The flexible cable is long enough for most setups. Moreover, the cable is hard-wearing and will resist damage. Therefore, the minor disadvantage of a cable is outweighed by the lack of a battery and no worries about running out of juice. This makes it the perfect option if you are forgetful or lazy.
The ability to customise your inputs, the low-fatigue design, and the ultra-responsive actuation are enough to make this stand out from the crowd. Accordingly, I think it is amazing, and I recommend buying it here!
