A Closer Look
There are a number of buttons located on the headset itself, including volume, power and one marked SVM. SVM, or Selectable Voice Monitoring is a technology that allows you to select the ability to hear your own mic feedback through the speakers of the headset.
Over Ear Design
The headset is “over ear” rather than “on ear”, which allows for the earcups to be over the ears and offer better sound isolation and improved acoustics.
Rechargeable Lithium Ion Batteries
The battery is not only rechargeable, but its removable. And in fact, Tritton provide two of them in the box. One for you to use and one to be on charge ready to swap out at a moments notice. The battery lasts for around 12 hours, so that should keep you going!
When the battery begins to get low, the ring of light on the base station will begin to flash, so you know it’s time to swap the battery (and maybe take a break).
Removable Mic
The mic is completely removable if you find it gets in the way when you don’t need voice chat. It’s just a case of pull it off or push it back on.
When the mic is live, there is a little light on the side that illuminates.
