9:34 PM and I do not see my Windows Media Center icon. Did it not just update everything? Where is the WMC icon? Grab another beer and recycle the last one.
9:53 PM and I have SP1? I thought it updated automatically after the Factory Reset. Hum. I will force an update.
10:10 PM and SP2 just finished. I can tell quickly because my connector wants to upgrade.
10:11 PM and the SP2 data is in the console. I still want SP3 so I keep going.
10:15 PM and the SP3 update is underway. Forced the update again. It would have eventually updated but I am not going to wait.
10:16 PM and we are ready for a restart. SP3 here I come!
10:27 PM. Had to get yet another beer. Did you ever notice that with SP3 the Connector upgrades automatically? I never did before tonight.
Update done a while ago. No server response by 10:36 PM. I am starting to worry. Everything was working BEFORE the SP3 upgrade. I will wait a few more minutes and then cry.
Finished. According to my screen shot in Paint it was 10:41 PM.
Conclusion
After 90 minutes of Factory Reset it took another 99 minutes of updates. Subtract the beer breaks and I think I am at 3 hours flat.
I learned I must have patience when doing a Factory Reset. Even at my 33 Mb/s speed it still takes a while to download, install and get back to SP3!
I wonder how much it downloaded over the three hours…and I wonder at lower speeds how long this would take. Ugh.
Have patience and do not forget to back up before you start. A Factory Reset erases all of the data on your drive.

What will be nice if you get the HP 3.0 update, it will reduce the number of updates to download. Although PP3 is extra.
Tim – I am a little jealous of that download speed. I am lucky to get above 1 Mbps right now.
Any thoughts what happened with the Add-in conflict that started your problems?
The mControl Add-In borked the console. I will just leave it on my old server.
