A few weeks ago I reported about the Sky Player in Windows Media Center being announced at the Windows 7 press launch.
Well today, Sky Player is finally live and running.
If you launch Windows Media Center you will see it under TV.
If you click on it you will be prompted to install it.
It only takes a moment or two to download and install.
Then you can see everything 🙂
If you want to watch something you will need to sign in to your Sky account with your Sky ID.
If you don’t have one you can create one.
There is the “usual” Sky TV guide you can view (and it is quicker than the new Sky TV guide on your box!)
If you are an existing Sky customer with either a broadband account or Sky Multiroom subscription this service is free, otherwise you have to pay for it.
So far I am quite impressed with it – I will use it for a few more days and comment again – so watch this space – or Sky on your Media Center.

Hmmm… I had the beta button which "disappeared" a few days ago and since last night I have the channels listed in the TV guide BUT no setup button for me. I ran windows update to see if that would do it but no joy….
Feeling left out now 🙂
Its appeared for me on my gaming pc but not on my HTPC, what the heck?! How the hell can i download this?!
Simon
Are you running a beta still or the full released product?
Andrew

AH HA – it only appears on the release version – time to "get round to it" and install the realease version bye bye RC-1 !!!

Andrew
Im in the US and i believe they block the routing, unfortunately. Id love to have access to the soccer.
I dream of streaming Premiereship matches without my cable company…
Let me know how the quality is on soccer – Im curious. (has to be as good or better than the signal for Fox Soccer Channel in the US (it hurts your eyes its so blurry)!
Well, I've got the release version, and I don't have the button either. Not having much luck finding a solution!
