Using Windows Home Server Forums Now Up

Well it’s been a very long time coming, but I can finally say that our Forums are now up.

The forums can be found by either clicking on the Forum button or by clicking here.

UWHS Forums

We have been getting a lot of emails from people either asking when we were going to have some forums, or with questions that other might either be interested in or could possible help.

So, go have a look, post a question or a comment, and eventually when the forums start being populated feel free to jump in and respond.

Have fun and feel free to drop me any comments as well and tell me what you like or dislike about the forums, and if we have missed any topics off!

  1. I have been reading forum after forum and still have a question. Can I backup my files to WHS then restore my system using the system restore disk from Dell, install a new router, then access the WHS backed up files? I do not want junk my kids have accumulated backed up.

If you were to use WHS to backup your Dell computer you wouldnt need the Dell restore disk you can perform a restore directly from WHS – which will put your computer back to EXACTLY what it was when you backed it up and also only takes a short time – certainly less time than it would take it install the OS, patches, drivers, etc.
