Yesterday, HP released the iStream application for the iPhone and also for the iPod Touch.

Today, in fact, in the last few minutes, HP have released the HP MediaSmart Server 2.5 Update to the web.

In order to get it click on the Check for updates link on the HP Updates tab in the Settings area on your Windows Home Server Console.

It should then check for the update, and if it is found, you will see the MediaSmart Server Update 2.5 selected. As you can see, it’s just under 218MB in size.

    • JW – Unfortunately this update won't be released for teh EX470 or EX475 owners 🙁 HP say this is because of the hardware requirements required to run it.

      • Ai, tha'ts too bad. I thought HP had indicated 2.5 would be available for us 475 owners but at some later date. I bought my 475 3 weeks before the announcement of the 485…

        • No, what they have said though is that the Mac Time Machine support and also the Online Backup functionality that comes with the EX485 and EX487 will be released as an update soon for the EX407 and EX475 owners.

          • It's the ability to use Mac Time Machine to back up on WHS that I am in need of. Any idea of its ETA?

            • I assume you mean for the EX470 or EX475? If so I dont have an exact release date, but I do know it is supposed to be some time this month (May).
