Battlefield 4 PC Update Release Notes

0

Here is the release notes for Battlefield 4 on the PC that also fixes the so called “kill trading” issue. This patch also fixes a list of other bugs related to sound, gameplay and overall stability.

Also Dice says that it is investigating issues related to ‘graphical flickering’ on SLI-enabled PCs, and the revive bar getting stuck on-screen

Battlefield_4

Dec 16 PC Game Update Notes

-Fix for a crash that would cause the game to stall, resulting in a sound loop. This should eliminate most of the problems relating to this.

-Fix for the SUAV (introduced in the China Rising expansion pack) not exploding when hitting enemy soldiers. While these indeed should be deadly, they were never designed for “roadkilling” opponents.

-Fixed one of the issues related to the so-called “Netcode” (see below for details).

-Fix for an issue where 4x the damage from a vehicle’s minigun would be applied to the chest when a player had the Defense specialization equipped.

-Fix for player tags not always showing when needed to, resulting in players shooting team members.

-Fix for graphical flickering appearing on terrain.

-Fixed the instance where players suddenly would transition into Spectator Mode while playing the Defuse game mode.

-Fix for a Defuse bug where none of the teams would win a round by letting the timer run out.

-Fix for players getting stuck in the revive screen after being killed.

-Fix for players getting stuck in the kill camera after being revived.

-Fix for the game mode specific ribbons being counted twice in the multiplayer progression.

-Made NVidia 331.82 or later driver versions mandatory for all players.

-Disabled DirectX 11.1 on NVidia cards that have outdated drivers.

-Fixed driver version not being properly detected on NVidia Optimus systems.

-Fixed a minor crash that could occur when bringing up the scoreboard.

“Netcode” improvement We’ve addressed the so-called “Kill trading”. This refers to when two players fire at each other and, seemingly, both die at the same time. The time window where a bullet could cause damage from an already dead player is now calculated as intended, decreasing the timeframe when players with high latency could get a kill, even though they should be dead according to the server.

Details of the New Forza Motorsport 5 update Coming Very Soon

0

Here is the latest content update for Forza Motorsport 5 is coming soon! This update will bring some momentous feature additions to Forza 5, including new race modes such as drag racing and multiplayer “Tag.” In addition, this update will bring some important adjustments to the Forza Motorsport 5 economy, including increasing the amount of credits earned for racing and lowering the prices of the best cars in the game. This content update, which will also include numerous other game improvements, is a significant addition to the Forza 5 experience. Here’s a detailed look at the changes coming your way very soon.

Drag Racing

First up, Turn 10 is adding two significant game modes to Forza 5: drag racing and multiplayer “Tag.” Drag racing in Forza Motorsport 5 is the ultimate test of car tuning, reflexes, and pure power, and you’ll be able to take your favourite drag-tuned rides to the Airfield track and test their mettle on quarter-mile, half-mile, and full-mile drag strips. Drag racing will be available in both Free Play and in Multiplayer game modes.

Multiplayer is where drag racing comes alive in Forza Motorsport 5. No need to argue which car is quickest – grab your friends and your meanest dragsters and settle the issue the way it was meant to be settled: on the strip. In addition to support for drag racing for up to 16 players in a single lobby via one-on-one heats, we’re also adding support for eight-player drag races, where all eight cars are on track at the same time on quarter-mile, half-mile, or full-mile strips. At the launch of the content update, we will have two drag racing hoppers available online: Ultimate Drag (for tuned cars of any class) and Ultimate Drag RWD (rear-wheel drive only, any class is eligible).

Tag Mode

The other big feature addition to Forza Motorsport 5 is the introduction of Tag. Tag is about as far as you can get from the traditional racing and drifting found in traditional Forza online competition. In short, Tag is about pure automotive mayhem, full of action-packed driving, huge wrecks, and lots of strategy. Tag is only available in multiplayer in Forza 5 and comes in three distinct flavours:

  • Keep the It: One player begins the match as “It.” The goal is for the “It” player to keep “It” status for as long as possible. “It” status transfers each time someone makes contact with the “It” player. Once the match timer has completed, the player with the most “It” time wins.
  • Tag Virus – One player begins the match as “It.” Each time an “It” player makes contact with another car, the “It” status spreads like a virus. The last uninfected player standing wins the match.
  • Pass the It: Similar to “Keep the It”, one player begins a “Pass the It” match with “It” status. “It” status transfers each time someone makes contact with the “It.” At the end of the match, the player with the least amount of “It” time wins.

When the update goes live, three multiplayer hoppers available for “Tag” fans: S-Class Virus, A-Class Keep the It, and A-Class Pass the It.

Economy Changes

This content update includes the first wave of adjustments to the Forza 5 economy, which we initially announced in early December. These adjustments are based on player behaviour within the game, as well as feedback received from the Forza Motorsport 5 community. First of all, we are dramatically increasing the rate at which credits are being earned in the game. For example, driver level payouts have more than doubled (from just over 15,000 credits to 35,000 credits). Players using average difficulty settings will also see approximately a 60 percent increase in credits earned per hour of play — a number that can dramatically increase by upping the Drivatar difficulty and assist settings used during races. Wherever your skill level lies, however, you’ll be earning more credits per hour in Forza Motorsport 5 to spend on the cars that matter most to you.

In addition to increasing the payout, we have also reduced the price of the best cars in the game. In fact, the cumulative price of all on-disc cars in the game has decreased by 45 percent. To use a specific example, the Ferrari 250 GTO, one of the most expensive cars in Forza Motorsport 5, will cost 2 million credits after the content update, down from 6 million credits when the game launched. By comparison, that same car cost 10 million credits in Forza Motorsport 4.

By increasing the amount of credits available to players and lowering the prices of cars, it’s never been easier to earn the best cars in the game; in fact, thanks to these economy updates, Forza 5 will be able to earn their dream cars in approximately one-fifth the amount of time it took to earn those same cars in Forza 4. Naturally the most exclusive cars in the game will still take some strategy (and some saving) to acquire, but these changes mean that even the fastest cars in the game are now within every Forza 5 player’s reach.

Forza Rewards

As long as we’re talking about the economy, it’s worth reminding fans about Forza Rewards, our loyalty program where players can earn in-game gifts each month just for playing Forza games. With Forza Rewards, Forza players are ranked by “Tiers” based on a number of factors across different Forza games. Since the launch of Forza Motorsport 5, Forza Rewards has gifted more than 500 billion in-game credits to Forza 5 players. This month, we dramatically increased the number of Forza Reward credits in Forza Motorsport 5; a Tier 1 player, for example, earned 1 million credits while a Tier 6 player earned 6 million credits. So, if you haven’t redeemed your December rewards yet, or you just want to see what Forza Rewards is all about, head over to the Forza Rewards site and find out what you are missing.

Wheel Improvements

Finally, this content update will add various improvements across a number of different aspects of the game, including some upgrades for those playing Forza 5 with force feedback wheels like the Thrustmaster TX Racing Wheel Ferrari 458 Italia Edition. With the update, players will be able to change the max degree of rotation (up to 270 degrees) within the game, and we have increased the maximum amount of available force feedback for wheels.

Battlefield 4 stability patch info for the Xbox One

0

Here is the stability patch details for Battlefield 4 for the Xbox One that was released today (Friday 13th).

battlefield4-4

Here’s a complete break down of what the patch fixes:

  • -Fixed three common crashes that could occur during map transitions
  • -Fixed a common crash that could occur when using the in-game Battlelog in the “end of round” screen
  • -Fixed two crashes related to destroying vehicles
  •  -Fixed a crash that could occur when the player lost connection to a server
  • -Fixed a crash that could occur when using the scoreboard
  • -Fixed a crash that could occur when players were using the voice chat
  • -Optimized performance when shooting destroyed Levolution objects on some levels
  • -Removed the blur effect on soldiers that appeared when Commanders were using EMP attacks
  • -Fixed the “one-hit kill” bug where damage from a single bullet sometimes was applied multiple times. This could lead to firefights where normal rifles sometimes dealt one-shot kills, which is not as designed
  • -Fixed a memory leak that could lead to crashes at certain points
  • -Further reduced the probability of getting a corrupt save file in the single player campaign
  • -Fixed the audio drop outs that could occur when playing on large maps. Typical map affected was Golmud Railway in Conquest with 64 players. Ambient sound would sometimes cut out, like foley sounds from player running, vehicle engine sounds, vehicle movement sounds, and map ambient sounds
  • -Fixed an issue with going online after resuming your Xbox One from suspended mode
  • -Fixed some issues with the handling of Xbox One parties
  • -Made the icons used to signal voice chat status more reliable

Just last week EA/Dice said they were putting all future expansions on hold until they could resolve the current issues plaguing the game.

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z New Cover art Work and more

0

Team NINJA today revealed the first official details and an all-new trailer detailing the retro-stylised side-scrolling “NINJA GAIDEN Z” Mode, which will be included in the upcoming YAIBA: NINJA GAIDEN Z. Accompanying the new trailer are a variety of screenshots and information about Yaiba’s rage mode, entitled “Bloodlust”, and his cybernetic-savvy companion, Miss Monday. Additionally, in collaboration with comcept, “Beck” the main character of Keiji Inafune’s Mighty No.9 will make a cameo appearance in the form of an alternate costume for Yaiba. The DLC release of “Beck” will be followed by a Camouflage costume for Yaiba as well.

groupG_004

The new “NINJA GAIDEN Z” Mode expands the YAIBA: NINJA GAIDEN Z experience allowing Yaiba’s over-the-top zombie chucking antics to spill over into an all-new 3D side-scrolling realm. Brought to life through classic 8-bit stylized cut screens and UI, this new mode will have Yaiba battling though hordes of elemental zombies, mechanized enemies, and other familiar baddies reminiscent of a certain 8-bit ninja’s plight (ahem) as he racks up more mad points with every brutal kill.

PS3_Cover_CS

To get through this side-scrolling gauntlet, Yaiba will have to push himself to his own limits employing all the dirty tricks of his trade. Whether it be by chain flail or cybernetic rocket punch, no amount of zombies have a prayer when face to face with Yaiba’s homicidal rage.

Fortunately for Yaiba, he will not be tackling this slaughterfest alone. Miss Monday, an engineer for Forge Industries who brought the pieces of Yaiba back to life with cybernetic enhancements, will be there making sure all of Yaiba’s cybernetics are operating at their peak performance levels as he tears through these hordes of zombies. Sure, she doesn’t really care too much about right, wrong or duty, but maybe because of this, she has an easier time dealing with Yaiba’s ”special” attitude.

In YAIBA: NINJA GAIDEN Z, players will battle fierce zombies as Yaiba, a cyborg ninja who will do anything to get revenge and stay alive. Cleaved in two, he is brought back to life with cyber-technology. Brandishing his ninja sword and the mecha weapons in his cyber arm, he slaughters zombies with brutal, over-the-top abandon. Step into a stylized living comic book where stunning graphics depict a world gone mad. Hordes of undead can only be stopped by Yaiba’s willingness to use any means necessary to get the job done. Will he kill by turning his cyber arm into a razor chainsaw for slicing up undead—or just rip off an opponent’s arms to use as zombie nunchucks? Both possibilities fill Yaiba’s heart with twisted laughter in this upcoming collaboration between famed developers Team NINJA and comcept’s Keiji Inafune.

dlccostume_sheet_re

YAIBA: NINJA GAIDEN Z will be available for the PlayStation3, Xbox 360  and Steam (PC) March 4, 2014.
