Pac Man is back to bring families together!

There are many games that don’t bridge the age gap but Pac Man is one of the few that does.  Coming from the 1980s when both young and old were playing Pac Man was played on both Arcades and Flat Tables back the modern twist.

The story is a great way of bringing both generations back into playing video games together rather than playing individually . The game itself is perfect for introducing sharing and working together and discussing which way to go and more.

Here is a video of the first home version of Pac Man, That I played was the Atari 800 XL version from 1984
The introduction of the tv show is a great way of introducing the game to the young and for the older to reminisce of the days of when they were young and playing the game.
It introduces the characters to them and what the game is all about.

Lucky my family and I was invited the UK launch of Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures tv series and also showing off the game.

But one mode I and my family really like was the multiplayer mode in the game when the screen is split up and you play as the ghosts and you have to get Pac Man in the maze that is a lot of fun.

When Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures game comes out on the 7th March for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS and the PC, we will be reviewing it for you.

If there one game to bring the family together its got to be Pac Man. Pac is Back

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2: Developer Diary 2

Konami Digital Entertainment has released a second development video, this time focusing on the huge open-world environment of its forthcoming Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 title.

The new game is set to be released on 28th February for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, and the new video features Dave Cox, Producer of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and Studio Head of European Production for Konami Digital Entertainment B.V., and Enric Alvarez, Head of Development at MercurySteam.

Dave and Enric detail how the events of the new game take place during the course of one night, and within both a modern city setting and Dracula’s castle – both of which are linked. They also discuss how Dracula’s evil presence has impacted the many environments, with the castle’s Gothic look having a huge influence on the surrounding settings and their design, whilst also tying in with the familiar look of past Castlevania titles.

The five-minute video offers a tantalizing glimpse of the game’s many settings, and how MercurySteam’s native Madrid provided inspiration for the locations that await those entering Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2’s labyrinthine locations.

DC Universe Online War In The Light- Part 1 available now

1

Today Sony Online Entertainment and ProSiebenSat.1 Games (PSG) release War of the Light – Part I, the next chapter in the DC Universe Online (DCUO) story. The first instalment of the “War of the Light” DLC trilogy embarks on an all-new storyline and introduces the Blue Lantern Corps along with the use of a new power set in DCUO.

dcuo_scr_DLC9_RagePowers_WithoutMercy-001

War of the Light – Part I is the first of three upcoming DLC packs revolving around characters able to manipulate the power of the emotional spectrum. In the “Fight of the Light” DLC for DC Universe Online, the light powers of the Lanterns were presented, and players were able to get a taste of the formidable abilities of the power rings which Hal Jordan and Sinestro wielded in the original comics.

In War of the Light – Part I, DC Universe Online now adds another light power that is driven by the red light of rage and which can be used both for good as well as for evil. Thanks to these rage powers, players will be able to master a whole new set of gaming mechanics for tanks and employ berserker-like abilities, giving a whole new strategic dimension to group content.

dcuo_scr_DLC9_RagePowers_PlasmaRetch-001

In War of the Light – Part I for DC Universe Online, the Lanterns have destroyed the connection that all colours have with their emotional spectrum. Four Corps – Green, Blue, Sinestro and Red — have arrived on earth after receiving cryptic messages in order to discern their nature. The gathering of the Lantern Corps has incited a new War of the Light which centres on downtown Metropolis and the nearby sentient planets of Mogo and Ranx. Players must band together in groups of four to go on new high-level multiplayer adventures with Hal Jordan or Sinestro in order to investigate the light fog that has descended upon Metropolis and is influencing the emotions of its citizens. Additionally, brand-new 8-player operations will send players on raids on Mogo and Ranx, and during their investigations, the Green Lantern Corps will once again come up against the Sinestro Corps.

“Players are getting more than just a new storyline with this DLC. We transformed Metropolis for the War of the Light trilogy and created new, expandable environment and content – separate from the original – for players to explore,” said Jens Andersen, Senior Creative Director for DC Universe Online. “In War of the Light Part I both heroes and villains can utilize Rage powers, a unique and challenging power set that offers a new tanking mechanic, adding yet another dimension to fights. It looks amazing and I’m looking forward to players mastering the Red Lantern-inspired power.”

With War of the Light – Part 1, players will also be able to access new legendary PvP characters – the brutal and unpredictable Red Lantern Atrocitus as well as the extremely agile and nimble Saint Walker from the Blue Lantern Corps. Players will also be able to look forward to additional Lantern Corps further on in the War of the Light trilogy, with which they will be able to take part in the gripping War of the Light.
War of the Light – Part I includes:

dcuo_scr_DLC9_RagePowers_Mangle-001

  • New rage power – The new power set in the game is created from the red light of rage and can be used both for good and for evil. In the case of heroes and villains with tank powers, their skills will take on berserker-like characteristics.
  • New 4-player operations – Strange color fogs have appeared and triggered a new War of the Light, and downtown Metropolis, Mogo and Ranx are caught right in the middle of it. With the help of friends such as Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner (heroes) or Hank Henshaw and Sinestro (villains), players will have to get to the bottom of this mysterious fog.
  • New 8-player operations – In these new raids, which take place on Mogo and Ranx, the investigation of the fog will result in a confrontation between the Green Lantern and Sinestro Corps.
  • New legendary PvP characters – War of the Light – Part I presents two new lanterns – the violent Atrocitus and the agile Saint Walker.
  • New gear and collections.

Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Onslaught is Out Now for Xbox One and 360

1

Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught is here.  The first of four massive, DLC Packs for Call of Duty: Ghosts, Launching first, exclusively on Xbox Live for both Xbox One and Xbox 360, Onslaught features four classically designed, smaller to medium sized Call of Duty multiplayer maps delivering the fast-paced multiplayer experience fans love, the all-new “Maverick” dual-purpose Assault Rifle/Sniper Rifle, and “Episode 1: Nightfall,” the first installment in Call of Duty: Ghosts Extinction’s four-part episodic story that follows humankind’s first contact with the Cryptids.

COD Ghosts Onslaught_Ignition Environment

Onslaught delivers a ton of exciting, new content for Call of Duty: Ghosts fans to enjoy on next gen and current gen alike,” said Daniel Suarez, Vice President of Production, Activision Publishing, Inc. “It begins with a diverse set of maps that personify that classic Call of Duty-style of fast, frantic and exhilarating action. It doesn’t stop there, because Infinity Ward and Neversoft have taken it to another level; whether it’s becoming Michael Myers from Halloween as you pursue your opponents, to creating the first dual-purpose weapon in Call of Duty history, or crafting a new chapter in Extinction that introduces new characters and even a three-story tall Cryptid alien boss, Onslaught has something for all Call of Duty players, and we’re excited fans can finally get their hands on it.”

BfEvUGsCIAIOINg

Onslaught is included as part of the Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Season Pass, which gives fans access to four epic Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Packs planned for release this year – Onslaught, Devastation, Invasion and Nemesis – at the discounted* suggested retail price of $49.99. Additionally, Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Season Pass holders get instant access to the Team Leader Digital Pack, which comes with a unique multiplayer character head, weapon camo, reticle, player patch, card and background.

Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught delivers a variety of new offerings for fans to dig their teeth into, starting with four new multiplayer maps. “Fog” is a chilling homage to classic horror films, set alongside the banks of a murky lake. Players skilled enough to pick up the map’s unique Field Order can become the embodiment of terror by donning the mask of Michael Myers, one of cinema’s most iconic horror characters of all-time, as the entire soundscape changes to the eerily familiar Halloween theme music.

“BayView” is a coastal Californian boardwalk that offers players fast-paced run-and-gun gameplay amid a seaside town. Clever players will be able to climb onto the map’s moving trolley to engage enemies, as well as call in devastating artillery strikes from the Naval Destroyer anchored offshore.

“Containment” drops players into a raging battle amidst a war-torn Mexican village, where the action centres on the crippled remains of a small bridge holding a hi-jacked truck leaking radioactive material.

Onslaught’s fourth map, “Ignition,” is a completely reimagined version of “Scrapyard” – the fan-favourite multiplayer map from Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare 2, placing players into a deserted space launch facility with frenetic action amongst abandoned warehouses, flame trenches, a massive transport crawler, and dynamic map elements that can take players out if they’re not paying close attention.

Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught also introduces the first instalment in Extinction’s new, four-part episodic narrative with “Episode 1: Nightfall.” As the initial foray into this single, connected story that will be told across each DLC Pack launch throughout the year, “Episode 1: Nightfall” takes fans to a remote research facility hidden deep within the Alaskan wilderness, where a small recon team must infiltrate the facility to find out what happened to the mysterious Nightfall Program. This expanded Extinction storyline introduces new characters, plus two all-new alien species, and debuts an exclusive Venom-X weapon that pulverizes the Cryptids, as players delve deeper into the story of what happened following mankind’s first contact with the Cryptids in Colorado.

On top of the new maps and first episode of the Extinction narrative, Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught arms players with a new, dual-purpose addition to the multiplayer arsenal with the “Maverick.” Outfitted with a lightweight wood stock, the “Maverick” can be selected in either the Assault or the Sniper Rifle class, depending on players’ play style and preference.

In celebration of today’s Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught launch, Activision and Infinity Ward are pitting pro footballers Clay Matthews of the Green Bay Packers against Jamaal Charles of the Kansas City Chiefs in a Grudge Match for the ultimate Call of Duty bragging rights.  Matthews and Charles will each captain a team comprised of members of the development team at Infinity Ward, online personalities and fans in an intense head-to-head battle. Gamers can review highlights on the Call of Duty Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/CallofDuty.
