E3: First look at Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2
The sequel to Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare was teased by EA last week by way of a short trailer that had no visuals, only sounds. The audio cues we heard sounded exactly what we’ve experienced in the original third-person shooter, and considering EA already revealed a new Plants vs. Zombies game was expected this holiday season today’s announcement of a new Garden Warfare game doesn’t come as a big surprise to many.
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 marks the first time in the Plants vs. Zombies franchise where the plants are on the offensive as the zombies were successful in their takeover of Suburbia. Both plants and zombies have enlisted new characters from the past, present, and future to join their fight. Players will experience a number of new modes, discover unique gameplay features, and battle through all-new maps.
Some of the new game modes includes a 24-player Herbal Assault mode, which allows players to go on the offensive as the plants and a 4-player co-op mode called Graveyard Ops that has zombies coming together to defend against plants. Players will be able to play multiplayer games with or against friends or play Garden Warfare 2’s unique solo experience by fighting against AI opponents and allies, or bring a friend along in local split-screen co-op.
Garden Warfare 2 will introduce a total of six new character classes and will offer a total of 100 playable character variants. Those who played Garden Warfare will be able to transfer almost every one of their unlocked characters into Garden Warfare 2.
A total of 12 new maps will be available in Garden Warfare 2 that spans from a number of iconic locations within the Plants vs. Zombies universe, including a Time Travel Theme Park to the final frontiet.
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 will launch in spring 2016 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

E3: The Walking Dead: Michonne coming this fall
Announced today at E3 in Los Angeles, the next installment for The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series, set to premiere later this fall!
The Walking Dead: Michonne – A Telltale Games Mini-Series stars the iconic character from the comic book series haunted by her past and coping with unimaginable loss and regret. The story explores her untold journey during the time between issues #126 and #139. Through this Telltale Games mini-series of 3 episodes, players will discover what took Michonne away from Rick, Ezekiel, and the rest of her trusted group… and what brought her back.
This fall on PC/Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and compatible iOS and Android-based devices. You’ll need at least the first episode of The Walking Dead: Season Two in order to play The Walking Dead: Michonne, but we’ll have more info on that for you closer to the premiere date.
So why did we choose Michonne for Telltale’s first-ever mini-series? Robert Kirkman and Telltale’s own Kevin Bruner can tell you more…
“In many ways, Michonne herself is a reflection of the world of The Walking Dead. She is brutal and cold on the outside, but deep beneath what is broken, she remains hopeful, trying to claw her way out of the darkness that surrounds her,” said Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead. “In our effort to bring the world of the comic and the world of the Telltale series closer together, there is no greater character than Michonne to help bridge that gap.”
“Michonne’s complexity and range make her an ideal lead for the compelling interactive drama fans have come to expect from Telltale,” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games. “With this mini-series, players will experience Michonne’s challenges first-hand, and the choices they make will shape her journey. We’re incredibly honored by Robert for the opportunity to share this untold story in The Walking Dead universe.”
Whats the top 10 Best US TV boxsets?
So you’ve got a free weekend, an easily accessible blanket and a stash of junk food that would last you through an apocalypse – so the logical next step is picking a box set to watch. There are hundreds of amazing television programmes that you can lose a weekend in and no need to guiltily utter ‘just one more episode’ as you have already hit the Play All button. But where to start when we have taken so many shows to heart, learnt their one liners, and now even tend to greet Ross & Rachel, Carrie Mathison and Jack Bauer like old friends?
So to celebrate the release of Homeland: The Complete Fourth Season on Blu-ray and DVD on 15th June we take a look at the 10 best US box sets for you to lose yourself and your weekend in.
Homeland
Picking up from the heart-stopping Season Three finale, the Complete Fourth Season sees Carrie (Claire Danes) determined to the best agent possible and assigned to Kabul on the trail of a Taliban Leader.
Gripping action, American politics, new threats and Rupert Friend you could want for nothing more in this series of the award winning Homeland.
Friends
Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe and 236 episodes of sitcom gold. Although it’s only six people living in New York (with seemingly no 9-5 schedule nor rent to hold them back) Friends is bound to make you laugh and bound to make you watch for hours on end.
Mad Men
Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks and January Jones – need we say more? This show immerses you in the 1960’s. Following the life and times of Don Draper (Hamm) it is packed with dapper suits, stunning design and witty characters that whip you into shape.
The Sopranos
It has been eight years since we said goodbye to this old-school criminal empire but the phenomenal acting will never get old. Full of twists and turns the dark drama follows Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini), through personal and professional problems all the way to classic TV Show status.
House of Cards
It is Kevin Spacey making politics powerful and enchanting; the acclaimed show watches the rise of Francis Underwood (Spacey) through the political system in Washington with vigour and vengeance in mind.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer:
Before the modern obsession with vampires like Edward and Bella, Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) carved the path with the darker side of vampirism. Over seven series she grows into her vampire slaying role encountering classic characters such as Angel; in essence it is an ex-cheerleader saving the world and yet Joss Whedon made it so cool.

Chemistry teacher Walter White is diagnosed with cancer and given two years to live so naturally he collaborates with a former student of his to create a life of crime and drugs. You are one of a tiny minority if you missed all the hype, buzz and excitement first time round.

This medieval fantasy drama has got viewers gorging on content so much so that the writer of the original novels, George R. R. Martin, cannot keep up. An all-star cast have taken up residence in Westeros with enough battles, lies and debauchery to last anyone a lifetime.

Ground breaking television, 24 taught global audiences that you could tell a story in a different manner. This real time series follows the seriously likeable Jack Bauer as a counter terrorist agent saving himself and his country from intricate plots and impending doom.
Orange is the New Black:
It follows the adventures of Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), an upper-middle class New Yorker who is sent to a women’s prison because of her colourful past. The Netflix original is full to the brim with hilarity but also heart-break as you are immersed in the world of Piper and her inmates.

E3: Get ready for Dishonored 2
During today’s Bethesda E3 conference, Bethesda Software announced an upcoming sequel to Dishonored. The empire of the Isles is in danger once more by a userper. You travel to Cornaca to assassinate targets, and you can switch between playing as Emily Kaldwin (who is supposed to be Empress by now) or Corvo.

As in the previous Dishonored game, players can choose to either kill everyone in sight, or not to kill anyone – usually dooming targets to a fate worse than death. It remains to be seen what leads Emily to take up the path of the supernatural assassin.
Dishonored 2 is being developed for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
