BATMAN – The Telltale Series’ to Premiere this August

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Telltale Games has today announced a worldwide distribution agreement for the games BATMAN – The Telltale Series and Telltale’s third season of the Game of the Year winning series, The Walking Dead.

BATMAN – The Telltale Series will be making its worldwide debut as a digital download with its first episode in August on consoles, PC/Mac, and iOS or Android based devices. The series will be available to purchase at retailers starting 13th September as a special “Season Pass Disc,” which will include the first of five episodes in the season, and will grant access to the subsequent four episodes as they become available for download via online updates in North America. The series will then be available to purchase at retailers across Europe on 16th September.

Broken Sword 5 – The Serpent’s curse on Apple TV follows the success of the original iOS debut back in 2011, when Broken Sword: Director’s Cut went to #1 on the Apple App store, achieved 5 million downloads.

Drone Racing coming to Insomnia58 at NEC Birmingham

Multiplay have entered a joint venture with The UK Drone Show, Europe’s largest consumer drone exhibition, to launch The Drone Racing iSeries at August’s Insomnia58, the UKs largest gaming festival.

Adding to the festival’s eSports roster and opening up the potential for a new RCSports category, The Drone Racing iSeries will appear at all Insomnia events for the next three years and offer attendees the chance to witness the world’s best drone pilots battle it out in adrenaline fuelled displays. The Drone “Insomnia Championship” will have a prize pool of at least £5,000, but potentially will reach £10,000 (tbc), making it the richest indoor drone event ever to be held in the UK.

With the UK boasting some of the best drone pilots in the world, drone racing is now one of the UKs fastest growing new sports. Interest has skyrocketed over the last year with broadcaster ESPN announcing that it will televise drone racing in the USA.

Drones will be able to reach speeds of up to 60mph on Insomnia’s indoor track, with pilots needing lightning reflexes to deal with direction changes at high speed, while avoiding obstacles and other drones.
Craig Fletcher, CEO and Founder of Multiplay said: “The Drone Racing iSeries at this year’s Insomnia will add an extra dimension to the festival. The UK is home to some of the best drone racing teams in the world and they will be battling it out at i58, presenting a real spectacle for the Insomnia community. In December 2015, The UK Drone show held the largest ever UK indoor drone racing event, in front of 6,500 people. The event saw 15 year old Luke Bannister leave victorious, and he went on to win the World Drone Prix in Dubai 2016 earning $250,000. His winning final race has been viewed over 600K times on YouTube in 3 months.

Along with drone racing, eSports enthusiasts will be afforded 4 days of the biggest LAN in the UK at i58, with over 4,000 people playing simultaneously in the event’s dedicated BYOC area. Insomnia58 will also be stage to the biggest gaming quiz in the UK, a separate event that will have a prize pot of £2,500.

Gamers can now also rent PCs for the event.
Insomnia58 will be taking place at The NEC, Birmingham, 26th-29th August, 2016 with tickets available online from £30, with BYOC tickets costing £99.

To celebrate the release of Ghostbusters, in cinemas today, Activision in collaboration with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, has unleashing a pair of new Ghostbusters video games.

Ghostbusters is a third-person action role-playing game featuring single-player and local couch co-op multiplayer for up to four players. Taking place after the events of the film, players command a squad of rookie ghostbusters through Manhattan’s most haunted environments, discovering hidden collectibles and ridding the city of rogue spirits. There are four distinct heroes to choose from and each character can be upgraded with new gear and abilities throughout the adventure. Ghostbusters is available today on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC via Steam.

Fans can also pick up the Ghostbusters Bundle, a collection containing the standalone Ghostbusters video game, DLC featuring four classic Ghostbusters outfits and a bonus trap alongside a special dashboard theme inspired by the game. The Ghostbusters Bundle is out today on the PlayStation 4 through the PlayStation Network in Europe, as well as worldwide on Xbox One via the Xbox Games Store.

Ghostbusters: Slime City is a new mobile game that lets players take on the role of a ghostbusting recruit and save the city from a new paranormal threat. Craft unique proton pack loadouts for performance and cosmetic improvements while upgrading the headquarters and completing jobs for new and more powerful weapons and rewards. Then join up with others to create squads and compete in community challenges, timed events and PvP competitions to rise to the top of the leaderboards.

Ghostbusters: Slime City is available now as a free download with in-app purchases on select iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices via the App Store, select Android devices via Google Play and select Kindle devices through the Amazon Appstore.

Fallout Shelter’s Biggest Update Ever and PC Version out today

Bethesda Softworks released Fallout Shelter Update 1.6, the biggest update yet for the mobile game by Bethesda Game Studios that has thrust more than 50 million players into the role of Overseer to build their own Vault, manage dwellers, and adventure through Fallout’s iconic wasteland. Update 1.6 introduces an exciting new Quest system with a new combat mechanic, as well as two new items for Overseers in a hurry: the Starter Pack allows players to jump-start a new Vault, and Nuka-Cola Quantum speeds up Dwellers returning from the Wasteland and certain Vault tasks.

In addition, Fallout Shelter launched today on PC, bringing the game to an all-new platform, and can be downloaded now, for free, via the Bethesda.net launcher.

QUESTS AND NEW COMBAT SYSTEM

Across more than 5 billion game sessions, Overseers have sent more than 715 million Dwellers into the Wasteland to explore, battle enemies, gather resources and items, and discover new recipes for crafting weapons and armor. In Update 1.6, players now have more substantive Quests to conquer and can take control of their Dwellers while they travel to abandoned buildings and decrepit Vaults, as well as locations familiar to Fallout 4 fans like the Red Rocket Fuel Stop and the Super Duper Mart. Players can assemble a group of Dwellers to take on challenges outside of the Vault, uncover legendary loot, and face off against new enemies like Radscorpions, Ghouls, and powerful bosses.

While in the new Quests, Overseers can use the new combat system to gain control over Dwellers in a fight, allowing players to select opponents and direct attacks and even play a quick mini-game for a critical hit. Impatient Overseers who would like to instantly return Dwellers after a quest or complete Barbershop customizations or crafting, can now use a refreshing Nuka-Cola Quantum.

Update 1.6 can be downloaded by visiting the App Store or the Google Play store.

FALLOUT SHELTER LAUNCHES ON PC

Fallout Shelter also launched today for PC, bringing the action to larger screens and an even wider audience. The PC version of the game offers the full Fallout Shelter experience that fans have come to love on mobile, complete with all of the updates added over the last year – Pets, Crafting, Scrapping and Junk, additional rooms, Fallout 4 characters, and special Dweller customization options – as well as all of the new content in Update 1.6.

MilitAnt created by Xibalba Studios for the PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam), MilitAnt is a fast twitch side-scrolling blastacular action platformer that launched worldwide today on Steam. Its PlayStation 4 version hits the US today while the European invasion is set for 14th July.
