Panasonic has today announced a new product in its premium range of Digital Cordless Phones (DECT): KX-PRX120, which has a smartphone style handset. Exclusive in Design, Smart in Function

The KX-PRX120 digital cordless phone will run on the Android operating system allowing users to enjoy various options for communicating in addition to conventional voice communication via the landline. The Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich offers an advanced telephone experience at home. In addition to the DECT interface, there is a Wi-Fi / Bluetooth interface on the handset. The KX-PRX120 is available with an answering machine and has been designed to be lightweight, compact and easy to carry. One can receive incoming landline calls in and around the house as far as the DECT signal will reach. The comfortable size of the touch screen also enables a more intuitive and comfortable operation of the device.

Access to Google Play with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

The KX-PRX platform is based on Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich and supports Google Play which enables users to download their favourite applications, access their social networks, or share a photo album with family and friends.

Panasonic’s new KX-PRX120 can be used as a video phone thanks to the built-in front camera enabling users to enjoy video communication by Skype. In addition to voice communication, users can enjoy other types of communication –such as E-mail, SNS, video, or schedule sharing (Google Calendar).

BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea DLC also announced

Also in development at Irrational Games, BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea is a two-part add-on campaign featuring an all-new story for Booker and Elizabeth, set in the underwater city of Rapture before its fall.

These two campaigns will be available individually for £9.99 (1200 Microsoft Points), and are also included as part of the BioShock Infinite Season Pass.

Come back to Rapture in a story that finds Booker and Elizabeth on the eve of the underwater city’s fall from grace. Developed by Irrational Games, the developer of the original BioShock and BioShock Infinite, this DLC features Rapture as you’ve never seen it before—a shining jewel at the bottom of the ocean, built almost entirely from scratch in the BioShock Infinite engine. Gameplay has been modified to give the player an original BioShock combat experience that merges the best parts of BioShock and BioShock Infinite: new weapons, new Plasmids/Vigors, Tears, Sky-Lines, and Big Daddies.

“We are really excited to offer our fans the content that they have been asking for,” said Ken Levine, creative director of Irrational Games. “With Clash in the Clouds, people get a pure action experience that takes BioShock Infinite combat to its highest challenge and intensity level. 2K and Irrational Games announced today that BioShock Infinite: Clash in the Clouds, the first downloadable content pack for Bioshock Infinite.

This first add-on pack puts an intense focus on BioShock Infinite combat. Combine weapons, Vigors, Gear, Tears, and Sky-Lines in ways you never thought possible as you square off against impossible odds. This pack features 60 challenges in four brand-new environments. First Information on the PS3 and PS4 Exclusive Mission for AC4 – Blackflag

Today Ubisoft has revealed the first details on the Exclusive missions found for the Playstation 3 and the Playstation 4, Ubisoft posted on there blog.

“The star of Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation will return to the series in Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. Aveline de Grandpré will appear in a series of missions found exclusively in PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 copies of the game. Jill Murray, writer of Liberation, has also returned to pen the continuation of Aveline’s tale.”

“Aveline’s missions in Black Flag pick up a ways after her story in Liberation ends. “It’s a ways forward so Aveline is a bit older,” Lead Writer Darby McDevitt explains. “It’s not directly related to the end of her story. If Assassin’s Creed IV is like a novel, Aveline’s missions are like a short story.” Providing about an hour of exclusive content, Aveline’s narrative is broken up into three missions, according to Game Director Ashraf Ismail.”

Get your Boxing Gloves on for Real Boxing on the PS Vita

Vivid Games today confirmed that Real Boxing, the first console-style boxing simulation for the PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system, will launch on August 28, 2013 in the UK via PlayStation Network. Vivid Games also announced today that the game’s multiplayer features will include regular tournaments as well as multiplayer bouts via online and ad-hoc play.

In Real Boxing, players will journey from amateur to pro in a comprehensive boxing simulation. As shown in the first reveal of gameplay footage, the Unreal Engine 3-powered game provides a realistic experience in terms of both stunning graphics and accurate simulation gameplay. Boxers are designed from the laces up to look and move realistically with extensive motion capture of every punch, jab, and uppercut in high definition—and boxers can be upgraded and customized down to individual tattoos, hair, and clothing.

Intuitive controls fully utilize the Vita’s physical, analogue and touch capabilities to offer a highly customisable and natural fighting gameplay for matches in single, career, and training modes – with the handheld’s Near feature being used for all manner of goodies and surprises.

Real Boxing’s rich suite of features has been exclusively enhanced for PlayStation Vita. The game now includes new console-style multiplayer with tournaments based on leaderboard rankings and one-on-one battles with friends and random opponents. A new minigame lets players fight out of clinches using tilt controls. An improved combo system adds depth to the fighting mechanics.

Prepare to unite up with Wonder-Red and 100 other Wonderful Ones when The Wonderful 101 comes to Wii U on 23^rd August! Developed by PlatinumGames with a team including producer Atsushi Inaba and director Hideki Kamiya, this fast-paced action adventure game pits you against the GEATHJERK, evil aliens who were prevented from conquering Earth once before, but have returned to finish the job!

In The Wonderful 101, you control a group of secret heroes plucked from their normal lives to save the world in a time of emergency. Will Wedgewood is a teacher at Blossom City Elementary School, but to some he is known as Wonder-Red, young secret combat service prodigy and soon-to-be leader of The Wonderful 100. Joining him in this elite group is Eliot Hooker, detective with the Los Angeles Police Department in his everyday life, and the man behind the mask of Wonder-Blue.

Each of the core characters in The Wonderful 101 are defined by their Unite Morph powers, which allow them to transform a group of heroes into objects, such as a giant fist called Unite Hand, a powerful blade by the name of Unite Sword, or even a firearm known as Unite Gun. All Unite Morph powers become more powerful depending on the number of heroes currently recruited, so make sure to keep an eye out for citizens crying “Help!” – adding them to your team will reinforce your unit as you battle the GEATHJERK invaders!

The Wii U GamePad controller acts as the hub for directing your heroes. By drawing shapes on the touch screen you can create Unite Morph powers, and an on-screen menu allows you to select which hero will be your team leader. Additionally, the Wii U GamePad acts as your eyes when entering buildings, with the action shifting to the touch screen, and the use of motion controls coming into play in order to look around your environment.

Apart from the regular single-player Story Mode, the Wonderful Missions give you and up to four other players a chance to see how your scores match up against each other while battling the alien horde in several different arenas. You can also use the capture function to post your screenshots on Miiverse and show off your wonderful exploits.

Back at E3 2013 I had the honour of interviewing Suda 51 about his new game KILLER IS DEAD.

KILLER IS DEAD is set in a not-so-distant future similar to (but not the same as) the world we know now. The player takes control of an executioner named Mondo Zappa who wields a Japanese sword in his right hand and brandishes interchangeable weapons in his left artificial arm. His ultimate goal is to execute various heinous criminals scattered around the world and beyond.

Goichi Suda, also known as Suda 51, is the CEO of Grasshopper Manufacture and a former designer at Human Entertainment. The “51” in his nickname, Suda 51, is a pun on his given name. In Japanese, “Go” means 5 and “ichi” means 1.

Suda 51 has been involved in gaming fan favourites Killer7, No More Heroes and more recently Lollipop Chainsaw to mention just a few.

In the interview we talk about Mondo and his girls, what got Suda 51 started in the gaming industry, cosplay and more. And there is some new gameplay footage thrown in there too.

Get an Extremely Rare Pokemon Only at Game stores in the UK

With celebration of the launch of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, the first of three legendary character distribution events begins August 30^th at participating Game stores across the UK.

Players can get their hands on Shiny versions of the Legendary Pokémon —Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina—starting with, Dialga, which was featured on the cover of the Pokémon Diamond video game. What makes this event extraordinary is that each of the distributed Legendary Pokémon, which are already difficult to get during gameplay, will be Shiny, meaning they have unusual colouring that is extremely rare. Each Shiny Pokémon will be available, one at a time, for only two weeks each, so Trainers will need to plan accordingly and head to a participating Game store if they want to add these extremely rare Legendary Pokémon to their Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, or Pokémon White 2 game.

Once Steel- and Dragon-type Dialga’s distribution ends on September 12^th, Pokémon fans can get a Shiny version of Water- and Dragon-type Pokémon, Palkia, beginning September 13^th and a Shiny version of the Ghost- and Dragon-type Pokémon, Giratina, beginning September 27^th. Both of the subsequent events are also taking place at participating Game outlets across the UK. Palkia is the Legendary Pokémon featured on the cover of Pokémon Pearl, and the Giratina players will receive is the same Legendary Pokémon that appears in both Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.

Fans who own Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, or Pokémon White 2 can bring their copy of the game and their Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo DS system to participating Game stores and get a Shiny Dialga, Shiny Palkia, and Shiny Giratina during the following dates:

Having tried some different music, I cant honestly say it find’s the song in a matter of seconds, in some cases, only two or three words had been sung. I was very impressed!
