I have completed a fresh installation of Windows 7 to try another process of enabling Internet TV. This week I will walk through the process of enabling Internet TV from within Windows Media Center WITHOUT using a TV Tuner.
A friend of mine bought a new laptop that had Vista installed on it. Being the adventures type I installed it on my WHS and backed up the fresh load of Vista and promptly formatted the hard drive and installed Windows 7 RC on it.
Over the past few days I’ve updated three PCs to Windows 7 Pro 64bit. Windows 7 rocks so say goodbye XP and Vista. But what does this have to do with Windows Home Server? Everything.
Further to my post yesterday about the Sky Player announcement at the UK Windows 7 launch I was at, I just noticed that on my Media Center under TV I now have a Sky Player icon that says Coming Soon. Cool 🙂
At the UK launch of Windows 7, Microsoft today announced a major partnership with Sky to add Sky Player, Sky’s online TV service, to Windows Media Center in Windows 7, creating a new and exciting way to watch live and on-demand TV from Sky on a PC.
A few days ago I got a nice surprise in the post – a box of my new Windows 7 book – Windows 7 Tweaks, Tips and Tricks published by Babani Books, which is now available in the shops.
Well, for those of you who may be interested, and I’m sure that isn’t many of you, I have now finished my Windows 7 book and it is going back to the publishers tomorrow to start the print run 🙂
