Bing: Watch, Play, Learn App now available

Acamar Films is delighted to announce a brand new series of the Emmy award-winning, BAFTA nominated, leading pre-school show, Bing.

Bing, Flop, Sula, Amma and Pando will be joined by a range of loveable new characters – and for the first time, the show will cover Bing’s birthday, Bing’s Halloween celebration and Bing’s Christmas. In a first for Bing, and for Acamar Films, this brand new series, never-before-seen-on-TV, has its worldwide premiere on Acamar Films’ new freemium app, Bing: Watch, Play, Learn.

The newapp features a safe and ad-free world of Bingcontent including free episodes from the new series and specially developed educational games and activities designed to encourage positive emotional development.

Bing: Watch, Play, Learn launches on Apple App Store, Google Play and very soon Amazon Appstore. Bingsters and their parents can watch three brand new episodes for free. Those wishing to enjoy additional content on the app can take advantage of a half-price ‘early bird’ upgrade offer – just £7.49 for 12 months – ahead of a fuller version of the app (more episodes, more games, more learning!) being released at the end of October. This new app marks the beginning of an extensive commitment to world-class, audience-centred digital content from Acamar Films.

“This new digital home for all things Bing gives Acamar Films the opportunity to deliver brand new Bing episodes and learning games directly to Bingsters and to the grown-ups in their lives,” says Jodie Morris, Executive Director, Content at Acamar Films. “It’s incredibly exciting that, as a digitally-minded company, we can share new Bing content ahead of broadcast.”

This new app is initially UK-only, with plans to expand the offering globally in 2020. Acamar Films have followed strict online safety protocols in line with the company’s renowned commitment to its pre-school audience.

Bingsters and parents have already embraced Bing and the show’s core values of authenticity, friendship, reassurance and curiosity on several popular digital platforms. As the number one pre-school show on BBC iPlayer in 2018, a top pre-school show on Amazon Prime UK and official YouTube channels’ watch time minutes exceeding 3.3 billion, Bing has proven its value both on-screen and online over many years.

We have been testing the new Bing app and I can say that it’s a big hit with my 3 year old! We will be doing a full review of the app in October when the full content is released, but so far I would say if you have a child who lives Bing, this is the app to get!

A Knight’s Quest Coming This Fall

0

Funny, fresh and genuinely breathtaking, A Knight’s Quest is a thoroughly modern take on classic adventures of old, as players will discover when it bursts onto PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this Fall, priced £19.99 / €24.99 / $24.99.

Dispatching enemies with a stylish thrust of the sword, rail-grinding across huge chasms high above tumbling waterfalls, wall-running over perilous traps or solving puzzles by controlling the elements – it’s all in a day’s work for Rusty, videogaming’s newest hero who’ll be making his debut in A Knight’s Quest, an epic adventure heading to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this Fall.

Daring, debonair, and just a little bit daft, Rusty is a kind-hearted, but clumsy adventurer who accidentally starts a chain of events which threaten to destroy his world. In order to right his wrong, he’ll need to solve mind-bending conundrums, fight challenging enemies, defeat huge bosses and platform his way through a fantastic open world in this lavish take on classic action adventure games.

Our hero begins his adventure with just a trusty sword and basic shield, but he’ll soon unlock ‘Spirit Powers’ – spectacular abilities which have the power to transform not only himself, but also the world around him. At the tap of a button, he can harness the powers of Fire, Ice and Time to devastating effect, using them to conquer enemies in battle or solve environmental challenges.

And what environments. The game takes place in the kingdom of Regalia, but Rusty’s adventure will take him to the desert town of Zameris, high over the ice-laden Peaky Peaks and into the Cursed Swamp, among many others. Along the way, he’ll encounter a colourful cast of memorable characters which bring the world vividly to life.

Of course, not everyone is friendly. From General Windpipe to The Watcher and many more besides, peril is never too far away. And on top of the standard bone-bashing foot soldiers, grunts and minions, at key moments in the game, players will need to tackle screen-filling bosses in spectacular set pieces.

Despite its 30-hour play time, A Knight’s Quest never feels bloated. Many modern adventure games introduce all kinds of additional systems – ones which can often become fussy when players expect finesse. But A Knight’s Quest is an action adventure pure and simple. Combat is fast and fluid, and platforming a dream, with Rusty’s repertoire of acrobatic moves effortless to pull off.  Playing the hero has never felt so rewarding.

A Knight’s Quest has been developed by Sky 9 Games, a brand new Toronto-based studio, with support from Runcorn-based d3t, who have previously worked on the Shenmue remasters, among many others.

CAPCOM Unveil Resident Evil Spin off ‘Project Resistance’ at TGS 2019

0

Today at Tokyo Game Show, Capcom unveiled a new type of survival horror set in the Resident Evil universe, Project Resistance . This asymmetric online five-person multiplayer game combines both cooperative and competitive dynamics, with the opportunity for players to create their own survival horror experience. Four Survivors must work together to escape an insidious experiment and outsmart the twisted Mastermind behind the scenes.

Capcom is developing Project Resistance in partnership with NeoBards Entertainment, utilizing the proprietary RE Engine known for high quality gameplay and remarkable visual fidelity in games such as Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5. It is currently being developed for the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X, and Steam.

In each 4v1 match, one Mastermind player tracks the four Survivors through a network of security cameras, staying one step ahead at every turn to prevent their escape. The Mastermind plots a deadly course by wielding a strategic deck of cards to create dangerous obstacles for the Survivors, such as summoning vicious creatures, setting traps, manipulating the environment, and weaponizing security cameras. He or she can also directly control zombies in play. In addition, Mastermind players can even step into the trench coat of the towering, deadly Tyrant for the first time in franchise history. In turn, the Survivors must cooperatively work together as a team to fend off the Mastermind’s attacks and complete puzzle style mission objectives to escape the map before time runs out. Each Survivor possesses unique skills to help their team overcome the Mastermind’s challenges and survive the sinister experiment.

There will be a special early access opportunity to playtest this working project at TGS. In addition, Xbox Insider Program members and RE Ambassadors will be eligible for a chance to participate in the Project Resistance closed beta on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The closed beta will run from October 4 through October 7.

Registration will be open between Sept. 11 and 18 at https://www.project-resistance.com/en/. More details on Project Resistance and the closed beta will be revealed at a later date.

Not only that, but Yakuza: Like a Dragon’s combat system has undergone a major overhaul, combining Yakuza’s established brawling action with a turn-based RPG battle system.
