Doctor Who Reveals New Series 12 Poster and First Episode News

Doctor Who fans have been teased in the last few days as news is starting to trickle out about series 12 (since reboot). Starting with the announcement that British TV icons Stephen Fry and Sir Lenny Henry CBE will both appear in the series opener when the TARDIS lands once more, with Jodie Whittaker reprising her role as the Thirteenth Doctor. Armed with a wealth of acting, comedy and writing credentials both are more than equipped to come face to face with the Time Lord and her friends, but will they be friend or foe remains to be seen…

Speaking ahead of his Doctor Who appearance, Stephen Fry says: “Short of being picked for a British space exploration programme and I readily concede that I’m past the age where I’d be considered (if I was ever the right age for such a posting) – then being in an episode of Doctor Who will certainly do as a very sweet second-place excitement.”

Sir Lenny Henry CBE says: “It was absolutely brilliant to be welcomed into the fantastical world of Doctor Who. The nearest I have been to the TARDIS was when I played the Caribbean Doctor in the Lenny Henry Show, so as a life-long (hiding behind the sofa type) Doctor Who fan this is a very special moment for me.”

Chris Chibnall, Showrunner, says: “Doctor Who is coming back with a bang – with two great British icons in major roles. One of the great joys of Doctor Who is getting to work with actors from your wish list. Stephen and Lenny are two of my absolute favourite actors – and to be able to bring them into Doctor Who, in one of our biggest ever stories to kick off the new series, is an absolute thrill.”

Along side this news came the reveal of the new series 12 poster for the show. Although not confirmed yet by the BBC, it is being reported that the new series will follow how Jodie’s time as the 13th Doctor by the new series kicking off on New Years day 2020, so again no Christmas Special and yet to see if the New Years Day episode will be a special or just a series opener:

Jodie Whittaker will reprise her role as the Thirteenth Doctor alongside Tosin Cole (Ryan) Mandip Gill (Yaz) and Bradley Walsh (Graham) who are all returning for their second series.

Chris Chibnall returns as Showrunner with Matt Strevens as Executive Producer.

Narcos: Rise of the Cartels Out Now

0

Curve Digital and Kuju are proud to announce that Narcos: Rise of the Cartels, a brutal tactical turn-based game based on Narcos, the multi-award-winning Netflix series from Gaumont, is available now for PC and PlayStation 4. Nintendo Switch owners will have the opportunity to choose their side on November 21st, with Xbox One entering the war on November 22nd.

Combining turn-based tactical strategy with brutal real-time combat, Narcos: Rise of the Cartels follows the first season of the award-winning TV series through two distinct campaigns that offer vastly different perspectives on the infamous 80s drug war. Should you help build the Medellin Cartel’s rapidly expanding narcotics empire under the watchful gaze of El Patrón, or fight against them tooth and nail alongside Agent Murphy as the DEA?

Each campaign has its own iconic locations taken directly from the show, from Colombia’s impenetrable sun-drenched jungles to the damp streets of Medellin itself. Recognisable characters from the series are ready and waiting to back you up – and each have their own unique perks to help turn the tide in battle.

Turn-based gameplay is fast, brutal, and satisfying, but just like the show itself, actions in Narcos: Rise of the Cartels have lasting consequences. If you lose a member of your team during battle, they’ll be gone for good. Moving one unit per turn, players will need to act quickly and change their tactics on the fly to stay in control of the battlefield.

In Narcos: Rise of the Cartels, there are no right choices. Join the Cartel and see your empire expand or fight with the DEA and stop the spread of terror – either way, there’ll be tough choices along the way.

“Narcos is one of the biggest hits on Netflix and is a personal favourite of mine. This game will appeal to gamers as well as fans of the show as it mixes the authentic feel of the series with an interactive experience to make you feel you’re right in the action. The characters, the storyline and the history of the cartels are all there – you just have to decide whose side you’re on!”, said Dominic Wheatley, Chief Executive Officer at Curve Digital.

To accomplish her mission, Victoria can maneuver around the city’s rooftops, engage in close combat with her whip, and stealthily take out opponents from afar with the new dart gun. “We Happy Few has continued to evolve since its debut back in 2015. The team at Compulsion has been continually listening to player feedback and has taken the game to new heights throughout its development,” Matt Charles, Head of Production, at Gearbox Publishing said. “We All Fall Down applies that feedback with a focus on deep storytelling and engaging gameplay. While this is the end of the story for Wellington Wells, we’re very proud to have helped bring We Happy Few to more fans around the world.”

Blair Witch Releasing on PS4 on December 3rd

0

Today, Bloober Team, the creative minds behind the critically acclaimed Layers of Fear games, in partnership with global content leader Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), call you back to the woods with the upcoming release of Blair Witch on the PlayStationⓇ 4. Earlier this fall, this psychologically frightening return to the Black Hills Forest, known to host the iconic Blair Witch horror, reminded us of the gut-wrenching fear felt with the film series and can now be downloaded digitally via the PlayStation Store for $29.90 USD starting on December 3, 2019.

The updated Blair Witch, which will first be available for digital download and later via physical retail versions, will include gameplay and technical enhancements. Additionally, players will now be able to customize their canine companion in various ways to make Bullet their personal “good boy” with the addition of the appropriately named “Good Boy Pack”; which will include new dog skins; new in-game cellphone games, wallpapers, and content; and new animations for Bullet – making him even more realistic. The “Good Boy Pack” will also be available on PC via Steam and the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X via the Xbox Games Store and Xbox Game Pass.

Blair Witch offers fans, and players alike, their own descent into madness through an original story inspired by Lionsgate’s iconic Blair Witch. Set in 1996, a young boy disappears in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland. Players experience the horror as Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past, accompanied by his trustful canine companion, Bullet. Their story starts as they join the search for the missing boy, but players shortly discover the horrors that await as the woods twist and turn into an endless nightmare. Ellis will have to confront his fears, and his past, along with the mysterious force that haunts the woods.

The first-person experience studies players’ reactions to the many dangers, stresses and tolls that the original story delivers, and results in one of various potential playthroughs. In addition to the horrifying psychological experience, there is a balanced display of the beautiful environments showcased in full in-game 4K; tricking adventurers to feel a sense of relief before venturing even deeper into the home of the iconic Blair Witch. Blair Witch is enhanced for 4K gameplay on Xbox One X and supported PCs via Steam, and will also be supported via PS4 Pro upon its digital release.

Every decision the player makes, no matter how minute, affects the outcome of the story. Players will want to play and replay to experience the different story resolutions.

Detroit: Become Human continues Quantic Dream’s commitment to utilising world-renowned talent, and features the Hollywood grade performances from Jesse Williams (Grey’s Anatomy), Clancy Brown (Carnivale), Lance Henriksen (Aliens), and Valorie Curry (Twilight), as well as an original soundtrack composed by Nima Fakhrara, Philip Sheppard and John Paesano (Dragons: Riders of Berk)

“Porting the game to PC has been a tremendous challenge, as we wanted players to get the original experience without any compromise. So we entirely redesigned the interface and developed a new engine to offer 4k resolution and high quality rendering on a wide range of PCs.” says Writer and Director, David Cage. “We are glad to welcome more “deviants” into the dystopic world of Detroit, and allow them to discover Quantic Dream’s vision of interactive storytelling.”

The PC version of the game is the most complete Detroit: Become Human experience to date, featuring stunning graphics complete with 4K resolution, 60fps and full integration of both mouse/keyboard and gamepad controls.

To pre-order Detroit: Become Human, and for more information please visit the game’s page on the Epic Games Store.
