WHS Launch Date

It looks like the launch date for Windows Home Server has finally been confirmed as being 1st October 2007. I know that people in different parts of the world have been able to get the software, if they have been both lucky and quick, but now its only a few weeks to wait for everyone else. Cant wait to see the hardware being released as well. And the book will be out a few weeks later 🙂

Diskeeper 2007 Trial Software

Terry over at the We Got Served blog has arranged for a fully-working 45 day trial copy of Diskeeper 2007 for WHS. This is a great product for defragmenting your WHS hard drives, and I have been fortunate enough to have been using the software for a few months now (thanks Derek!). To download the trial copy, go to http://www.wegotserved.co.uk/2007/09/15/exclusive-diskeeper-2007-home-server-trial-edition-now-available-to-download/. Nice one Terry!

The book is nearly ready….

This is just a quick post to say that I have finally finished writing all the Windows Home Server User’s Guide book – its been a really long 7 months, but its also been fun and really rewarding. The book is currently going through the final stages of editing and preparation, and it should be on the shelves by the end of October (both here in the UK, and also in the US). I cant wait 🙂
