Metro: Last Light Tower Pack DLC out next week
Deep Silver today announced that the ‘Tower Pack’ – the second piece of add-on content for 4A Games’ critically acclaimed Metro: Last Light – will be available worldwide on Steam and the Xbox Live on September 3rd, and will hit the PlayStation Network on September 3rd in North America and September 4th in Europe and the rest of the world.
The Tower Pack represents a fearsome challenge for every Metro fan. Players have to fight their way up through a heavily guarded tower, a virtual combat simulator. Each level is increasingly difficult – packed with hordes of enemies, mutants and other deadly threats. The best players in this combat simulator will need to master Metro’s unique, hand-made weaponry and deep combat mechanics in order to reach the top of the global leaderboards.
The Tower Pack will cost just $4.99 / £3.99 / €4.99, and is the second of four add-on content packs to be included in the Metro: Last Light Season Pass, which at $14.99 / £11.99 / €14.99 offers a discount over buying the packs separately, and also includes an additional exclusive weapon, the Abzats.

Snipers and Launchers in New Arma 3 Video
Bohemia Interactive today released a brand new episode in their Arma 3 Community Guide video series. Taking a closer look at two specialized infantry roles, Andrew Gluck (better known as Dslyecxi) from ShackTactical covers a number of tips for sniper and anti-tank/anti-aircraft teams in Arma 3.
The Community Guide series opened with a more general introduction to Arma 3, whereas the second and third Community Guide took a closer look at infantry combat and multiplayer teamwork. The fourth video celebrated a milestone in development, as the game transitioned from Alpha to Beta. The previous Community Guide focused on helicopters.
People who want to jump in before Arma 3’s launch on September 12, can already purchase the Arma 3 Beta (34.99 EUR/29.99 GBP/44.99 USD) and the Arma 3 Digital Deluxe Edition (44.99 EUR/39.99 GBP/59.99 USD) from Steam and Store.bistudio.com. War Thunder Heroes trailer released for War Thunder
Gaijin Entertainment has released a new CGI-trailer for its MMO-combat game War Thunder, available on PC and also the launch title for PlayStation 4.

Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac released
Parallels today launched Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac, which lets customers run Windows and Mac applications simultaneously on a Mac without rebooting.

With Saints Row IV already been hailed as a critical success, Deep Silver & Volition’s Saints Row IV has had a breakthrough commercial achievement as more than one million units sold through in its first week of retail availability. In the first days of availability, the PC version of Saints Row IV more than tripled its first week’s sale numbers over the prior release from THQ, Saints Row: The Third.
Saints Row IV is also leading the charts in almost all major European countries in the first week of its sale. The game has already garnered the top spot in the UK, Germany and Benelux (on all platforms).

Ubisoft has kicked-off the third Open House for The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, signalling the official start of the “Loot-O-Thon.” The Open House allows anyone that signs up a chance to get a sneak preview of The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot while the game is still in closed beta. Better still, players will have the chance to participate in The Mighty Quest’s first-ever “Loot-O-Thon,” challenging them to put their looting skills to the test for the highest bounty yet.
With this new trailer has also been unveiled featuring the Mage, a.k.a The Earl of Evilosity, who is the latest character to join the quest. A new trailer and screens from the game break down his past, his flashiest spells and his obsession with world domination.
The first Open House for The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot resulted in more than 71 million gold coins plundered, while the second Open House lead to more than 498 million gold coins plundered. In the third Open House, we’re raising the stakes and challenging players to shatter this record! If players can collectively loot ONE BILLION gold coins from player-created castles, Lord Marleybone, boss of the Glimmering Valley region, giant bone puppeteer and master of the dead, will be unlocked for players. Lord Marleybone reigns fear over all castles in level 20 to 24, and with a lot of plundering and looting, he can be all yours.

Metro : Last Light Comig to Mac and Linux
Deep Silver and 4A Games has confirmed that a dedicated Mac version of Metro: Last Light will be released on September 10th, 2013 via the App Store and Steam. A Linux version is also in development, scheduled for release later in the year.
“The Mac and Linux versions of Metro: Last Light are further testimony to the power and flexibility of the 4A Engine,” said Oles Shishkovstov, Chief Technical Officer at 4A Games. “Development was handled in house by 4A games, and we are very happy with the results. We hope that Mac & Linux gamers will appreciate our efforts to create the best possible version for their machines.”
Metro: Last Light on Steam will support Steam Play, meaning that owners of any Steam version will automatically find the game added to their PC, Mac and Linux Steam libraries.
Metro: Last Light for Mac and Linux will receive the same DLC packages as the PC and console versions.
The Metro: Last Light Season Pass, and the Faction Pack and Tower Pack DLC will be available at launch for the Mac release , and the upcoming Developer and Chronicles Packs will release on Steam and the App Store alongside the PC and console releases.
