With the One year anniversary yesterday (28th August) Guild Wars 2 ranks as the all-time fastest-selling Western Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) in Europe and North America, with territorial sales topping more than 3 million in the first nine months of availability. “So much has happened in the past twelve months that sometimes it’s hard for me to believe that it was just one year ago today that we launched Guild Wars 2”, wrote ArenaNet president Mike O’Brien in a blog post released today, marking the anniversary. With creating Guild Wars 2 was an enormous undertaking with two hundred developers working for five years on Guild Wars 2.
