Review: Obi MV1 smart phone from the ex Apple CEO John Sculley

You may not of heard of Obi Worldphone but the founder of the company is the Former Apple CEO John Sculley. Obi Worldphone MV1 is a smartphone with stylish design, but priced at a bargain at only £99 on Amazon (White/Black).

Uniquely, this smartphone will run Cyanogen OS 12.1.1 operating system which is the customization of the OS Android 5.1 Lollipop (will be getting Cyanogen OS 13.1 in the future which will be based on Marshmallow).

In addition, the smartphone will have a 5-inch wide screen with a 720p HD resolution which has also been coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 tough withstand scratches and impact.

With about 10GB available when you first turn on the MV1 for the first time.

It does have a problem with micro shots when using the MV1

Whereas to take selfie photos or video call, you must be satisfied with a 2MP camera.

This smartphone features a dual SIM-sized nano and micro who have supported 4G LTE network, and micro SD support. There are also features DTS sound and dual mics for noise cancellation or noise. Obi Worldphone MV1 is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery and comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with AGPS.

Played about a hour or so on the MV1 playing a few games, like Asphalt 8 played it will no problems at all.

The Obi MV1 looks completely different to every other smartphone you see right now, but it’s for all the wrong reasons with a mashup on the Nokia/Microsoft Lumia design, but other parts of the design feel slightly iPhoneish. The bottom edges of the MV1 feel nice in the hand as they’re rounded off.

PlayStation 4 Pro launch titles revealed

Sony has announced the day-one software launch line-up for PlayStation 4 Pro. With titles including Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be among the first to take advantage of PS4 Pro’s power and performance, which delivers heightened gaming experiences through improved processing capability and a range of visual enhancements.

From 10^th November, 2016, in Europe, more than 30 games will offer enhanced visuals for PS4 Pro, while more than 45 games will be optimised by the end of 2016. All first party games launched during or after 2017 will take advantage of PS4 Pro capabilities upon release, including Guerrilla Games’ post-apocalyptic action RPG, Horizon Zero Dawn. In addition to all first party games supporting PS Pro enhancements from 2017, Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe are thrilled to be able to support PS Pro enhancements across a wide range of world-class third party titles, including Final Fantasy XV and Watch_Dogs 2.

Every PS4 game, including future launches, will run on both the standard PS4 and PS4 Pro. Developers are now able to use PS4 Pro capabilities to deliver games in striking detail and clarity. On-screen action is visibly faster, smoother and has crystal clear movement – enabling the player to experience game worlds as they were intended.

With a 1TB hard disk drive accommodating more games, demos and content, PS4 Pro offers greater detail and performance through a boosted CPU and GPU, with resolution up to 4K¹, HDR imaging technology, and faster or more stable frame rates. Watch the brand new teaser trailer for “Wonder Woman” to be released in cinemas next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior.

Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Joining Gadot in the international cast are Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui. Jenkins directs the film from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, story by Zack Snyder & Allan Heinberg, based on characters from DC Entertainment. Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston.

The film is produced by Charles Roven, Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder and Richard Suckle, with Rebecca Roven, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers. Warner Bros. The Mate 9 camera picks up from where the Huawei P9 left off when launched in April in London, with a second generation Leica dual camera that’s made up of a 12MP RGB sensor and a 20MP monochrome sensor. With the new EMUI 5 interface and although it’s visually similar to previous devices, Huawei says it is their biggest refresh ever. A lot of previous features such as Knuckle gestures, customizable home screens and fingerprint gestures also return, but there’s a few differences as well. The first is that there’s finally the option to add an app drawer in the settings, which is ideal for those who prefer the familiar Android experience as we know it.

With the Mate 9 charges four times faster than the iPhone 7 Plus and 50% faster than the Mate 8 from last year, a 30 minute charge can top you up to 50%, while a 10 minute charge offers enough battery for 3.5 hours of video playback.

Prices at €699 for a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage with microSD support, colours for the Mate 9 are Black, Space Gray, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Mocha Brown or Ceramic White. With no official release date just yet for the Huawei Mate 9 with a rumour date of next month (December 2016).

Now for the Huawei Mate 9 Limited Edition Porsche Design, Huawei has teamed up with car manufacturer Porsche on a limited edition Porsche Design Mate 9.

The Limited edition of the Mate 9, is 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage priced at €1395 (but with microSD support), making this one of the most feature rich handsets on the market. Also The Porsche Mate 9 offers us a 5.5-inch curved QHD display, a first for Huawei.

Ubisoft reveals details on Watch Dogs 2 Season Pass

Ubisoft revealed details of the Watch Dogs 2 Season Pass. Players will be able to continue their hacker journey with several hours of additional mission content including new co-op challenges and difficulty levels, outfits, vehicles and lots of customisation items. Each downloadable content will be available with a 30-day exclusivity for PlayStation 4 owners.

DLC 1 – T-Bone Content Bundle: Players will get the style and the swagger of legendary hacker Raymond “T-Bone” Kenney with his truck and outfit, and discover Mayhem, a new co-op difficulty level that will pit players against a new enemy archetype armed with advanced weaponry. (Available on December 13^th on PlayStation 4).
DLC 2 – Human Conditions: Through several hours of additional mission content in three new world stories, players will uncover San Francisco’s biggest scandals on the cutting edge of science, medicine and misuse. Last year Wileyfox made an impressed with the Swift , a device that could measure itself by the good specifications and low cost with the Moto G and other budget charts. Now a year later, the manufacturer shall inform the successor of this smartphone, which introduce some important improvements. Earlier this year already Wileyfox + Spark and Spark X .

For example, the Swift Wileyfox 2 (above) includes a fingerprint scanner, which is positioned on the back side under the camera. In addition, there is support for USB type C Quick Charge 3.0, making the phone recharges in about half an hour half. Convenient because the previous Swift did fairly long time to recharge.

Under the hood is the Wileyfox Swift 2 well provided. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 430 chip with octacore processor and 2GB of RAM. Also present 16GB of internal storage, a 13 megapixel camera and 8-megapixel front camera. The screen measures 5 inches and has a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels. The 2700 mAh battery powers the whole of power. The device runs on the customizable CyanogenOS 13.1, based on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) . It is still unclear whether the smartphones also receive an update to Android 7.0 (nougat).

Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus
New is that Wileyfox also comes with a Plus variant of the Swift 2. Which is not greater than the regular version, but has more RAM (3GB) and storage (32GB). The Swift 2 Plus has an improved 16-megapixel camera. The other specifications are the same.

Wileyfox announces that Swift and Swift 2 2 Plus will soon be available from several Dutch merchants. The devices cost £159 for Swift 2 and £189 for the Swift 2 Plus. Smartphones come in shades of black, gold and pink.
