Pick the M260 up and the retro styling is obvious straight away. The metallic housings and exposed grille give it a distinct look that’s a world away from the usual black plastic earbuds, and it manages to feel like a throwback without feeling old-fashioned. Despite the metal shells, the M260 stays light, so it sits comfortably in the ear even during longer listening sessions.
The MMCX detachable cable is a nice touch, letting you swap cables in and out rather than being stuck with what’s in the box if it ever wears out. The 3.5mm version has an L-shaped plug designed to cut down on cable strain, while the USB-C version goes for a straight plug and folds in a Realtek ALC5686 DAC along with a mic for calls.
The SIVGA M260 is a lightweight pair of wired earbuds that feels comfortable even after extended use, and the retro design genuinely stands out from the crowd of earbuds on the market right now.
Sound-wise, the 14.2mm driver and copper-ring composite bio-diaphragm combine to give a balanced, smooth tuning with natural vocals and a surprisingly expansive soundstage for the price.
