A Closer Look

Final Thoughts

The DXP2800 GT keeps the same compact, understated design as the rest of the DXP GT line, with a vented front panel and toolless drive trays that pull straight out. Round the back you’ll find the 10GbE port sitting alongside a 4K HDMI output and the rear USB ports, all laid out cleanly enough that cabling never feels cramped.

Setting the DXP2800 GT up is refreshingly straightforward. Slot in your drives, run through the UGOS Pro setup wizard, and you’re browsing your own private cloud within about ten minutes, no subscription required, ever.

The 10GbE port is the standout feature here. Transferring large video files or running backups across the network feels noticeably snappier than 2.5GbE, and with dual M.2 NVMe slots handling caching duties, everyday browsing and file access stays quick even under load.

Docker support, virtual machines, and Surveillance Center all run smoothly thanks to the AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 chip, and you can genuinely have several of these running at once without things grinding to a halt. The 8GB of DDR4 that ships as standard is decent, but if you’re planning to run multiple containers, it’s worth budgeting for the RAM upgrade up to 64GB.

Photo management is a real highlight too. The AI sorting by faces, places, and objects works well, and duplicate detection quietly tidies up your library without you having to lift a finger.

Remote access via UGREENlink is genuinely painless, no port forwarding, no fiddly IP setup, just secure access to your files from any device.

Two SATA bays and two NVMe slots keep things flexible, and with support for drives up to 32TB each, there’s room to grow as your storage needs increase. Just remember your drives aren’t included, so budget for those separately.

The UGREEN NASync DXP2800 GT is available now priced at £459.99, at the time of writing the review it was available for £389.99, and it comes with a 2-year warranty as standard.
