The C75 Cake Meow keyboard from Yunzii is a striking, if not niche, product that’ll appeal to lovers of pink accessories and cats. It has an interesting wraparound RGB display, south-facing RGB lighting, and it is a tri-mode device. Accordingly, if you love a versatile PC peripheral, this will make you extremely happy. This mechanical keyboard offers a familiar typing audio profile. This clack, clack, clack may drive you mad, but I love the retro sound.
This recently released device has all the expected bells and whistles for office workers, those who like to work on the move, and gamers. However, it is the unusual style that makes this stand out from the crowd. The cat-like design, stunning colours, and RGB are a real head turner. Even if this isn’t your style, you have to appreciate the artistry and what Yunzii are trying to deliver.

Technical aspects.
This tri-mode device is a versatile option if you love to game or work on the move. Furthermore, it is plug-and-play, so limited technical know-how is required. If you require a flexible option with low polling rates, I suggest opting for the Bluetooth connection. BT 5.0 has multiple profiles to allow you to seamlessly connect to an array of compatible devices. Setting this up was easy, and FN inputs change the required profile. Word of warning: you only get 125 Hz polling. If this is too slow, I recommend using the USB connection or wired to enjoy 1000 HZ polling rates.
I’m a wired-only keyboard user, but I know others like the freedom of a wireless connection. After all, it is much cleaner, as you have no wires trailing across your desk. If you are a lover of wireless gaming, you’ll be glad to know that the battery is huge. 5500 mAh battery capacity ensures that you can use this keyboard for a few weeks in between charges. This reduces considerably if you use every RGB facility. However, you can charge it and use it at the same time, so this was of little concern.
I’m a plug-and-play freak, but if you must customise your keyboard, the C75 Cake Meow keyboard lets you do so. You may create customisable macros, map your keys, or adjust your RGB lighting regardless of whether you’re a PC or Mac user. I love this inclusivity as this lets you use your work Mac and your home PC with one portable keyboard.
Build quality.
Regardless of whether you are a lover of the style or not, this keyboard is exceptionally well built. I love the design, the strong colours, and the RGB wraparound. Additionally, the south-facing keycap lighting profile was fantastic. If this isn’t for you, you can switch it off to improve your battery life.
The hardened plastic case is a robust option for those who like to transport their peripheral regularly. This will resist scratches and unwanted knocks. Moreover, the keycaps are smudge-resistant. Thankfully, the fonts will last, and you shouldn’t expect to see that unwanted shiny edge after hours of use.
If you love a particular type of switch, you can hot-swap the provided ones with any 3/5-pin alternative. Therefore, you can enjoy the best typing experience with no soldering required. I found the provided switches to be responsive and comfortable to use. The actuation was fine, and this made for a low-latency experience when playing fast-paced games.
Finally, the C75 Cake Meow keyboard has many layers of acoustic foam material to create a creamy and welcoming mechanical soundscape. Although you hear the traditional clack, clack, clack, it isn’t shrill or obnoxious.
Is the C75 Cake Meow keyboard worth it?
I think the C75 Cake Meow keyboard is an interesting option for those who love a head-turning accessory. It looks amazing, and I love the audio profile, the responsive switches, and the custom options. Furthermore, the tri-mode connection, plug-and-play approach, and durable design are incredible.
